nice game. i'm not sure I understood the shooting mechanism. When I it a bat, it's shooting also to hurt enemies?
I love the cute pixel art. The visual direction was also fantastic. The battles with enemy characters were fun, and the seemingly difficult second magic became a powerful force when used considering the enemy’s trajectory, so I never got bored.
Cool ideas here, especially switching between spells and how the spells don't shoot from the player. Time constraints seem to hold you back here as the lack of sound does stop the game from coming to life, but overall I enjoyed it, and the boss was really cool! If you decide to work on it further and need some help with the sound, hit me up!
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately I’m not looking for people to Collab with / compose music since I’m not completely sure with the fate of the game right now. I appreciate the offer though and might contact you in the future as right now I’m mainly focused on other things like school.
Very nice looking game! I love the effects and animations. I actually like the fireball book too. Very well done!
I'd just like to say I'll be rating anyone's game if they comment, I've already gotten through all the previous comments so anyone from now on will be getting a rating. This is the developer btw.
EDIT: I'd also appreciate if you play to give the game a rating and maybe leave a comment as I really enjoy receiving feedback from people.
Very nice game and interesting mechanic! Art and animations are on point!
Tho adding music and sounds would make the game even better! Also the fireball book was kinda weird , didn't suspect to spawn fireballs from alot of directions.
Thank you! Quite a few people have given similar feedback about the fire book and I intend to change it mechanically in the final version.
this is very nice! good job!
Interesting game. It'll be interesting to see this done. The spells feel very challenging and unfriendly when the fireball is coming in from random directions instead of from the player. Good work overall!
I understand your feedback about the fire book and lots of people feel the same, thanks for the feedback
Super fun! Really nice job on the spell mechanics. I'd love to make some spells just like these one of these days. Graphics and animations are really good, feels right. Sounds and music would make a big difference. The procedural generation works great and is impressive. Maybe could have forgone the procedural generation in favor of time spent on sounds, but the generation is really cool and turned out great so I get it.
The graphics are pretty. However, the colour of the enemy projectiles makes it hard to see which projectiles are gonna hurt you. But overall a solid entry. Well done!
Thanks, I've had multiple people say stuff about the colour of enemy projectiles and it is quite unclear. I look forward to playing your game
The gameplay was nice. I loved the upgrades/different spells. I would have liked a progress bar/map to see how far I am in the run :)
Looking back a progress bar would've been a quick and useful thing to implement as lots of players didn't realise there was an end to the game.
I liked the different spells and style. It's sad to play without sound. But the game has potential!
I'm planning to work on the game more and develop it into a finished version!
The game is too cool! I really liked it. The only thing that miss (other than the music) is a way to reload life. I love it anyway ^^
Thanks for the feedback, unfortuanately i didn't have time to add music / sound effects and i'm realising now that it would've made a difference.
