Fun village builder.
Really cool game. Graphics looks so good, music is fitting, everything is well polished.
Building system works great and defences make you think strategically.
Is there win a state, or you could only loose? Because I got to the point of having sustainable town, nothing could destroy it and it make more money I could possibly spend.
Overall good game.
Very cool mechanics and a cool premise thats pretty much on point with the theme! Definitely deserves to be expanded in my opinion! I love it
I can place builings over bulldings over buildings? Seems like a bug but anyway also to easy? I just lpace everything randomly and repair stuff during the storm got up to 10.000 in storm 5? seems unbalanced but great concept, nice art. :)
Out of the hex-based games I played, this is one of the most polished. The mechanics and art match perfectly. Congrats!
What an interesting concept. I really like this. It encourages a lot of experimentation and creativity combined with strategic placement. The art was also fantastic. Very nice looking and cohesive style. The effects were also great. I do think there is some balancing to do, but that only makes sense with a 1 week jam. Something I wasn't sure of was how the storms would arrive. Was it based on number of cards played or was it a timing thing?
Either way, I really enjoyed it, and played it a bunch of times.
Thanks for the feedback! The storms arrive every twenty seconds or so, but unfortunately we didn't end up having the time to display that on the UI. Glad to hear you enjoyed!
It's a fun tile-based construction game. I hope it'll be refined and released later
Thanks for playing! Hopefully once the jam is over (and once we have the time) we can fix some of the main issues.
I'd appreciate it if you could play my game and leave a review! Thanks!
Of course, we will do soon!
I LOVE the game, fun mechanics, i can play this game for hours
That’s awesome! Thanks for playing!!
Nice game! A lot of different mechanics, both with the buildings and the weather! With some balancing and tweaks I feel this could become a pretty deep game
Well done!
Great to hear, thanks for the kind words!
Absolutely solid! Loved the variety to the storm and different strategies to defend against it.
Thank you for playing!
Incredible video game, very good sound effects and graphics. Everything is excellently done; it's amazing that you were able to create all of this in such a short time. The dirty Sand effect was one of my favorites.
Thank you, that’s awesome to hear! Thanks for playing.
Great job, very polished game.
Thanks for playing!
Nice game! Everything, like art, music, aesthetic are pretty coherent. Super polished game
Thank you!
Absolutely love this game, super polish and on point on all interactions !! It's quite intricate but everything information is communicated clearly, graphics are amazing, well done ! (my fav of the jam so far !!)
that's a big compliment, massively appreciate it!
Liked the graphics and audio! Nice job, and the gameplay is solid too. I love the wind effects. I agree with the general balance comments. If you were able to destroy ruined tiles (maybe for a price) and the storms started small, but ramped up more intensely each time, it might make for a more fast-paced (and possibly more engaging) gameplay loop.
you're probably right. We couldn't allow players to destroy the tiles as the "grid" is formed wherever you place the first tile, it doesn't use any built in systems. So if you were to break a tile between two "islands" it may break more gameplay. However, there are ways around this like ghost tiles.
It's a good idea though, especially destroying for a price. (A high price ;) ) we just didn't have time to explore our options :)
This looks, sounds and feels great to play! Definitely needs more balance though, as it was pretty easy to reach a point where the town is pretty much indestructible. I'd love to see this expand further after the jam is over!
absolutely, we needed the storms to get stronger.
I like this. The design is good and except for the stacking bug, things were pretty clean. It bothers me that I can't remove the rubble of destroyed buildings, but I understand the desire to keep it in to show the danger. I originally thought the game was hard but you earn plenty to not have to worry about money things if you're placing your tiles well. Great game and atmosphere!
We appreciate the feedback. Thanks for playing!!
Instructions unclear, Achieved perfection, did I win?
Clip: https://www.twitch.tv/nanorasmus/clip/BlazingElegantArmadilloCeilingCat-1ujdtyYw...
Hahaha this is incredible, I'd say you've well and truly won. Thank you for playing and sharing this clip!
This is great. I laughed as soon as i saw the wall of cotton arrays. We didnt have time to make the wind rotate around you, and this is the perfect exploitation of that ahahah
You win
Woo! Can't believe I won my first ever round of the game.
Although, I'm far from done...
I'm must achieve map-wide perfection
It is now 2 AM... I have been playing for an hour straight, but I achieved PERFECTION!
Here's a link to a video: https://streamable.com/t1ft01
wow that is Impressive. You've dominated the whole map. I'm so glad you're enjoying it. Even if the wind rotated around I feel like you'd be posting a clip of the entire map surrounded in wind defences.
But, I'm curious.
What was the performance like with this many structures? Like, when the end of day money was collected? Do you remember the amount of money you got from all those buildings?
I mean, I haven't closed it yet. It's paused in one of my background tabs
Really like the hex layout you went with for this! The setting and the tiles you came up with to match were super fun to build with. I did feel like it's a bit too easy to get established and then the fun kind of dies down a little after that, but I had fun for quite a while!
Thanks for the feedback! We plan on spending a lot more time on balancing the game properly once the jam is over. Glad you had fun!
Really cool and solid game overall for this jam! The gameplay loop is well thought out and the audio sounds great overall. I would definitely love to see this expanded more. Great job!
That’s awesome to hear, thanks for playing!
