The game is divided into two phases: the preparation phase and the storm phase.
The preparation phase is the calm, where the player mines and trades to prepare; before the storm comes and chaos happens.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes (with some help from zapsplat.com for a few sound effects)

Phenomenal entry in every way. This truly blows everything out of the water
This is a Game Jam winner. Everything about this game is refined and full of personality. The game loop is fun, the graphics pop and are stylish, the music is banging, the sounds are booming, and the various systems are simple and easy to grasp. My favorite bits are the small details of onomatopoeias popping about from your every action. And the very idea of a mole with an SMG is extremely cool.
This game is the best I've seen, it's very polished, and it's a lot of fun too!
The artistic section is very careful, and together with the audio they complement each other very well.

Wish there was a category for "polish" as this game is absolutely outstanding in it, not that it's any more outstanding than the other categories. This might be the best game jam submission I've played so far. This wouldn't be so far away from a premium game title on Steam. Hope to see more from you!

As soon as I saw a mole with a gun, I knew this was going to be an incredible submission. However, nothing could have prepared me for how incredible it would be.
The movement? Smooth AND quick - no easy feat. So much fun and fluidity without feeling bogged down.
The design? Great mechanics, from the phases, shop, and mining to the enemy spawning and combat systems. Clearly a lot of thought went into designing these parts in particular.
The artistic choices? Simply stunning. No other words, and this applies to the music, the sound design, and the visuals. Every new animation blew my mind and the soundtrack was just so much fun.
You guys have a top 10 submission on your hands. Best of luck :)
Thank you! That really means a lot. I couldn't find anyone to team up with in time so this is all solo work, I'm glad all the time I spent making things "smooth" goes noticed.
Well the mole might have a crystal but this game is a pure gem ! Everything is polished to a professional level that is astounding considering it was only made in a week, this is so good ! From the bounciness of the character to the superb graphics and screen shakes on hit, everything just feels so satisfying to play ! I can hardly find anything to complain about right now so... Congratulations, this is a masterpiece !

The banger music from the main menu. It stops as soon as you hit Play, I would have loved if it kept going, even if at a lower volume.

Out of all the games i've played until now, this is the best one! Apart from the camera being a bit too high above the player, the game loop, sounds and effects feel good and make a polished look. Really impressive my friend!
