How does your game fit the theme?
I used the theme as a metaphor to describe the moments where one takes a break before returning to the hard work. In this game you must complete certain tasks as quickly as possible to have recovery time.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote the code from scratch and make the music and characters.
Tiles, font and sfx come from free assets.

WOW I am floored! The animation, artstyle, aesthetics, particles were off the charts amazing! I really loved the stocking aspect and moving the pallet around felt smooth as butter even on the web player. I think the only thing is maybe introduce the items slowly over time? Trying to figure out what I was looking for at first really made me scratch my head at first but maybe that's what you intended! Regardless this was so fun and lovely to play I REALLY love the aesthetics you did an amazing job!!
Wow, that's such a good take to the theme! I absolutely love how you mixed the 2D and 3D with the palette. If you want, here is some feedback on some part of the gameplay :
- The npcs will go on your palette even when you are stationary, making you lose patience. Would be nice if they take in consideration the velocity ^^, this way you don't end up losing just because of the npcs running into your palette.
- The interaction with the warehouse items, the collision box for the palette seems to be very small, making it so you often have to take few tries before having it available at a warehouse "depot". I think just making the collision box slightly bigger or check for a greater distance in general, it would make a smoother experience.
That's it, honestly the game is very catchy and polished, I loved playing it! Congrats on your submission ;)
Hey! You are right, I plan to improve these points in a future update.
Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it! :D
Fantastic ^^
Great game, love the art and soundtrack!
Great art, I liked the style and the atmosphere !
i absolutely love this game! the art style is amazing, it fits the theme really well and my fav part is music! i feel like this is one of my fav games in this jam! Great job!
Really cool game!! just some highlighted objects during the tutorial would help. Took me some time to figure out the pellet jack. The mechanics are really well done, the replay value is high . the cart movement is very fluid and is kinda fun to look at. Great work with this game. One of the best this jam.
Kudos!!
Really amazing entry. Definitely one of the best of the jam that I have seen so far. It's a must-play game. I love the art, the idea, and the execution is fantastic.
FEEDBACK:
1. It's a tad confusing ur first run. Especially since anyone who doesn't work at a retail store doesn't know what a pellet jack is.
2. The detection on whether or not the cart was in range of the racks and vice versa was severely annoying.
However that's being a bit critical. I think this game was wonderful and can't wait to see more! =)
One of the best entries I've seen! Nicely done!
Could you have a look at mine please? https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2967087
Sure, I'm playing it today.
Thanks for your comment!
This is really well made! I made the mistake of not replenishing and just messing around with the first shelves, so I ended up not knowing what to put there. 😄 Anyway, it was a lot of fun—awesome job!
Very Cool!
the music along with the mood gave me major 'ape out' vibes!! the polish was really good, the art style and the mechanics in general felt very satisfying :D
Really cool concept and game, the pallet cart range could be a bit larger but overall the art was amazing and the game was pretty fun great job :D
A very unique interpretation of the theme. They game is really fun and the sound effects are great!
wow very creative game. really fun to play. the music and sfx also fits the game so much.
wondering if the rack in 3d? I'm confused.
Hey, everything is 2D, except that the pallet truck is a stacked sprite, basically several overlapping sprites that rotate at the same time, creating an optical effect as if it were 3D.
Thanks for your comment! :D
Great game! Nice take on the theme, I had a lot of fun playing. The gameplay is extremely flowing, your programming is solid! :D
i really love the art style! the game is anxiety inducing in a pretty cool way, i like how tense it gets. nice work!
Very good game! Probably one of the best I've tried so far, I liked how the little box you need to pull was made!
A realy good entry I loved the energetic jazz music here is some feedback:
- Unpaused Menu: stuff is happening around you when UI is covering the screen which inevitably leads to people bumping into the pallet jack, even when the player can't see where they are going around and already has enough on his head :V
- Pallet Jack: You should probably increase the range where the palletjack is considered near as I often found myself trying to grab him and move around which is also not that fun of an expirience as grabing it can be a little finicky
Hey!, thanks for your feedback. You are right, the pallet jack problem is something that several people have told me, and I will resolve it in a future update.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment! :D
Omg you guys did a really good job with this. You can feel the stress rising up together with Patrick. Of all the games I'd played this jam with this game loop, yours was the most fun and addictive. My only complaint is that even though the cart was right beside the shelf, the game didn't understood that, so I had to keep leaving the shelf and move the cart around. This is just a minor comment and of course it didn't affected the fun of your game whatsoever. Great game guys!
What a great premise, anyone that's worked at certain Walmart departments knows exactly how this goes... lol.
Pretty simple and fun, with a great artstyle--the 3D palletjack was pretty cool. I thought that the range for the palletjack being "nearby" was possibly a bit too strict, also I didn't quite understand how to read the brain meter. Anyway, very very polished and snappy!
Hey! Yes, the pallet truck thing is something that I must solve in the next update, along with other changes.
Thank you very much for your feedback!
