I managed to complete it on the third try. It seems that you don't even always have to shoot, it's enough to dodge enemy ships.

I was a little disappointed that there was no boss fight. But the game is definitely cool!

Wow I love the movement in this game! It was quite fun once you got the hang of it. Only thing is when I would hit restart it wouldn't spawn any enemies. Very fun though overall!!

I had a a hard time with the controls for the first few deaths, but after getting into it I really had a great time! I found that the music was really cool, and added to the fun of spinning around the sea and shooting ships down. The intro text scrolling sounds were hard to bear, but overall great job to you and the team! I'd appreciate it if you reviewed our game as well :)

Cheers!

I found the gameplay pretty challenging, especially on my first few tries! The shooting mechanics felt satisfying, but I often got confused when switching between cannons. I loved the ship controls. The calm music really set the mood too. Overall, a solid experience

It was pretty tough. I only made it to the end since my third playthrough had no enemies. The shooting was satisfying, though I was constantly confused when switching cannons. I liked the ship controls and that the current seemed to get faster as the game progressed. Nice music. The calm music really went with the moodiness.

The game offers smooth controls and great graphics, making for an enjoyable experience. However, a few bugs and control quirks could use some refinement for a smoother gameplay flow.

Also can you rate our game? THX!

Loved the art style of the game! Overall, it feels great to play, and I really liked the ship mechanic!

I liked the basic mechanics and the idea. Everything is very well implemented, the sound is good. I liked the graphics too. I would like more smoothness in controlling the ship. Nice!

This game is a standout success! The combination of engaging gameplay and impressive design creates a truly enjoyable experience. It’s clear that a lot of thought and effort went into this project.

Once I started getting a hang of the controls, I had a blast playing through this!

Controls a bit hard but had fun!

I'll start by saying I thought your game was fantastic. It fits the theme well, it's a super creative concept, and it's fun to play.

I did run into two odd bugs. After dying on my first attempt, I noticed that enemy ships stopped spawning during the next playthrough, which made it really easy to get to the end. Second, I noticed that sometimes it's actually possible for the player ship to shoot itself. I usually managed this when I had the ship in a spin, but it wasn't consistent.

One additional bit of feedback I'll give - the opening informational text scrawl felt like it took a bit too long to get through. I think an easy fix for that might be to let the player click or hit some key on their keyboard to skip the actually scrolling of the text and just read the finished paragraphs (like a lot of RPGs let you do). That way people can read at whatever pace they prefer, rather than the pace the letters appear.

Great job overall. Thanks for making this and sharing it with us!

Plays and looks great! I especially love the color palette. One small suggestion from me would be to visualize which side of the ship the canon is on the ship itself, so you wouldn't have to glance to the side of the screen.

Nice gameplay, I found the fight really challenging on my first try. Really cool ambientation and pixel art. Great work!

It would be awesome if you could take a look at my project as well. Any feedback would be fantastic! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2972711

Loved the movement! And the ending flash text was great xD. But I must say, love the title most of all ;P <3

I find the controls a bit hard to handle and during one game I had no enemies at all. Except that nice work!

I usually don't like pixel shader but it fits well here. Color pallete and overall visual and audio estetics are pleasing.

After reacheing first milestone my ship dissappeared and other ships started to fly over sea at different angles and boss was instakilled. Something inside of me thinks what my ship fell at the left corner of the screen and ship tried to look at something at the bottom of the map.

Also, I've managed to hurt myself with my own bullets. Usually, I do different collision layers for player and enemy to fine tune that.

Overall, I really enjoyed the game!

Yea, it's baggy. About bullets - my laziness. I used same bullets form player and enemy

Fun game, I like ship model and a color palette!

Nice concept! I would suggest to shoot forward because from the side could be uncomfortable. Also I would add more checkpoint. Overall great work!
