Brewing potions without recipe? Nothing can go wrong!..right?

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
95% of graphics and all sound was downloaded and remixed. I did paint/ create the background/house.

I unlocked 25 recipes without making any mistakes! I wish there had been some kind of ending—I’m curious about how the story concludes. Overall, I enjoyed it. Nice work!

yeah great wow! i had no time anymore to make an ending :(

Simple mechanics. After a few times getting the ingredients correct, I had a better time guessing which one worked. Enjoyed the relaxing music. I'm a big fan of story in games. Good entry!

Always nice to get a game with story.

Graphics don’t really fit together, but background is actually nicely done. Maybe characters are not your strong suit, but scaled up sprites ruin vibe a lot, imo. Try using Nearest texture filter instead of linear, works much better for pixel art.

Music and SFXs are nice, extra points for having volume slider.

Keyboard control for puzzle part seemed like strange choice at first, but felt actually nice. Maybe even nicer then mouse.

Overall, not bad at all.

Thanks for the feedback! Will keep in mind for pixel art!

I really liked the core mechanics of the game!

It lacks polish, but it definitely has potential :3

thank you for playing!

Beautiful and simple potion brewing game with nice visuals and a good matching audio, I like the  wordle brewing mechanic! :)

The gameplay is simple but enjoyable!

Just a little suggestion: maybe you can let the player cancel the selection when they try combinations of the ingredients? (Sometimes I miss elect and fail.)

please also try our game!

Developer

you can use 'q' to unselect if thats what you mean. might be not that clear.
thanks for playing though!

Really cool! Your art and audio are awesome!
Love the cool twist on the wordle formula. Also I got the first recipe correct on my first try!

Nice job!

Cool game visually looks great, enjoyable mechanics had fun playing around making potion. My only critique is the difficulty of the game feels the same across making the same recipe like around past the 5th recipe feels like there could be something mix in to making the recipe more challenging

This was pretty fun. I do like this type of puzzle. The wait between customers seemed excessive since there was nothing I could do in the shop unless someone was there. I would have preferred if the next customer appeared immediately. I was confused about how the wrong ingredient indication worked. Sometimes it seemed like it would show up when it should have been "wrong place" instead. Maybe it that was times where I had too many of that particular ingredient?

Nicely done! Loved the graphics :)

A great usage of the classical logic puzzle. I love it!

Cool concept. It's a really enjoyable game! :D

Solid game! Reminded me of that game where you have to find the pattern that someone chose and hid. Forgot the name. But this is quite creative! The art is nice, even though it is used from a website, and the game lasts a long time.

The only thing I would do to improve is polish and enjoyment. Although the game was fun for a while, I lost interest past the first 5ish brews. What you could do is have variation everywhere. So the potions ingredients may get randomized, or an event happens, or even a day night cycle like stardew valley.

Amazing game for the time you had, 8/10

This is pretty neat, good idea blending papa's pizzeria and wordle. I didn't understand the ingredient mechanic completely though, and the icons for ingredient missing etc seem to be broken unfortunately.

I love the vibes for the game! The visuals and particle effects are soo neat! I like the main mechanic as well. I like the narrative of the cat destroying the book I think its funny. Theres a bit of an awkward silence between the customers lol, but the sound effects for the player actions are great! Good use of lighting in the scene for mood. I think during dialogue would be helpful to highlight who is talking. I felt the puzzle difficult was just right for me. Narrative wise tying in the orders with the ingredient functions would be a nice touch. Overall the game feels great to play. Great work!
