I died on the sound effects. This was freaking amazing! I bookmarked it to play it again; it's so good! For real, the sounds effects... 100%. Do you record this yourself? I thought "block" was funny, and then I heard the "pew pew", and once I used the drill I was done. Freaking. Amazing.

If you get a chance too, please rate me back! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-3/rate/574336

Good job making this game in a week's time! It's nice to explore and could be expanded into a bigger game. I would change the sound effect for jumping, but theother sound effects are really nice. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for giving it a play!

It makes you want to explore, and it helps to have a minimap so you don't get lost in the attempt xD

Developer

Thanks! I updated my last jam game with it too~  I just make a 2nd camera and in only sees the layout image layer that is behind the tile maps.

I think this game is pretty nice! The procedurally generated stuff is cool and the graphics have the potential to be released with ads with some added polish. Overall great work

Developer

thanks for playing~

Very nice!  I like your dungeon crawling and jewel collecting mechanics.  This game reminds me a lot of a game called Zomie Incident for the MSX.  My negative criticisms for the game would be that trying to platform by making blocks with the block-gun is pretty slow and frustrating, especially coupled with the physics.  I also thought the game started to lose it's appeal pretty soon.  I ended up finding the same structured rooms and becoming bored.  But I liked this overall.  Great audio, concept, and graphics.

One of the few games I tried so far with procedurally generated content!! GREAT!! 5 stars game design!

Please consider rating our game too ;)

This is very good for a jam game! The graphics are top-notch, the sounds funny (one sound reminded me of Winnie the Pooh), and the mole and the shopkeepers were cute.

The gameplay is good, too, but it was sometimes tedious to stack 20+ blocks to get to a hole in the ceiling. Having the drones follow my mouse a bit would have been nice as well, particularly in those rooms where I started at the bottom and there were 2 enemies (the drones would stick with the mole and I had to work a bit to get them to a good position). And sometimes I would enter a room and find myself in spikes or lava.

The mole could have been a bit more animated, maybe having some recoil when shooting a block. He/She/It could also follow the mouse with his face, or eyes.

Thanks for playing and thanks for the awesome suggestions!  I will try them out :)

I used the controls just for the hearing your funny sound you recorded XD
the graphic doesn't get my attention so much but it has a lot of potential for releasing on steam. keep going my friend!

The sound effects absolutely went nuts! So funny!

I like how you can drill and create blocks at the same time, just like Minecraft!

And the random generation is also well done. Good job!

Thanks!  It's my second time to make sfx with just my voice.  People seem to like it, but kinda embarrassing for me ㅋㅋ

Holly Molly this game is feels so polished, and i love how chill the game feels. You can feel warm in your heart by looking at Moley and friendly bee smile. Fun game, i love it <3

Interesting game you got here.  Wish that the game saved when you go to main menu and spawning blocks was faster and less clunky.

Developer

Thanks!  I will try and improve the blocks~

This was interesting, I didn't get very far as I had some trouble with getting the drone to attack stuff which was frustrating but I can see where the game is going. Really well done

Developer

thanks for playing! Yeah atm the best way is to run ahead to lead them then run back and let them shoot~

Very nice game design.  The game tutorial was very helpful in telling me how to play the game. I liked that everything in the game had its own sound.

Developer

Thanks! I did the tutorial last~ glad it worked :)

I cannot believe how polished and full of content this game is with only 7 days of work. The art, music, sound effects, level design, game mechanics, player controller and overall presentation of the game is incredible. Might be my favorite game of the jam so far. Very, very impressive.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the awesome comment! I made several platformers so i can pump them out fast now haha. Every jam i do what i know and add new stuff to learn~

The random generated levels was an impression addition. Game play felt good as well. Sometimes I would get surprised by a lava pool when entering a new level, but thats part of the fun I guess. Great job!

Developer

Thanks! I learned to do it from a youtube tutorial haha
