You can rewind either (or both) player's actions.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
My team did the code and visuals, but we didn't make the music.

Finally a game with a not only proper tutorial, a great one too! It did a good job explaining the basics. Also such a cool implementation of the theme :D Well done. Hope you try mine too https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/722968

I really like the game, but I can't beat it it is very difficult

Thanks for the review! If you didn’t know, you can access the solution to the level you are on from the pause menu.

This is a very creative concept and the level design is great! Nice job!

Cool game, very clever concept, a really nice difficulty curve, and fun too!

Very clever ideas there. Well done for making a tricky littel puzzle. It must have been ready hard to make.

This is the first game that I've found fun and interesting enough to spend the time completing every level! The starting levels were really helpful in explaining the mechanics of the game, rather than some other games I've seen where I just got lost from the beginning. The graphics are the only area where this game lacks, once you update that it will be a great all-round game :)

Nice concept! The game is pretty fun and the puzzles are interesting. Maybe make the graphics a bit better and the game will seem a lot more polished!

This might be the most fun game I've played so far! I love how it uses the rewind mechanic in a simple yet creative way. Also, it was VERY helpful how you introduce each use of the feature slowly so the player can see how to apply it and not get frustrated. For me, this game has the perfect challenge level- great job!

Nice concept and level design! The 'R' and 'B' (indicating red and blue rewind) buttons were a little confusing at first, since it seems blue is on top side pretty much always and red on bottom whereas on the keyboard R is on top and B bottom.

Otherwise nicely done!  Clean game and execution!

Developer

Thanks! With more time, I would have added a way to remap the keys, because I suck at controls, so it's probably better to just let the user do it.

Great level design! There is so much depth to just rewinding and having the shadows block you. Seriously, kudos to your team!

Developer

Thanks! My team will be happy to hear you liked it!

This is a really mind-bending puzzle game, I like the difficulty curve a lot and you crafted some strong puzzles. My only issue is that it feels a little unnatural to reach across you keyboard to the b and r keys- the fact that it's easy to remember that b corresponds to blue and r to red is nice, but having to play minor finger gymnastics gets a little annoying. It isn't a huge deal, but maybe remapping them to something closer together or even the left/right mouse buttons would be ideal. Still though, great game, with some excellent puzzles. Nice work.

Developer

Thanks for the review! With more time, I definitely would have added that to the settings, because there was definitely choices for what to set it as. I had it as Q and E at one point, but playtesters couldn't figure out which key was for which character.

Wow this was super neat!  I really like the concept of controlling 2 characters and you really have to pay attention to the level layouts to beat the puzzle.  This idea is clever, you should keep working on it!  Great job submitting to the jam, and I hope you learned a lot of new things!  If you have time, please check out my entry :D

This was a really cool idea! I played using a controller, and I think the biggest problem I ran into was that it was difficult to remember which button rewound which robot. Otherwise though, this was a really clever little puzzle game with a cool take on the theme. Great job!

Ah. I mostly tested on keyboard. In hindsight I should have had one always on the left and one on the right so the controls made more sense.

Cool concept and great execution! Loved the puzzles! Only complaint is there could have been some animation to make the game more fun to look at.

Thanks for the review! There’s definitely a few things I would go and fix, but I’m glad you liked it!

cool consept, quite hard.

Excellent puzzle design and the solution button was a nice touch of polish. The audio seemed to pan weirdly through out the game. Sometimes it was only in my right ear and other times only in left. But good work!

Developer

Hey! Yeah, I'm pretty new to Godot, and I didn't spend as much time on audio as I would have liked. I'm glad you liked the puzzles though!

It's a original concept and really cool idea, it fits really nice in the theme. I have friends that would love to play, unfortunately it's not my style of game but nice job on making it!

Developer

Thanks for the review! Yeah, It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm glad you think your friends would like it.
