Nice game! Interesting puzzles. The one thing I would say is that the movement is a bit wonky (running, jumping, wall jumping) what function in Godot did you use for movement? Or did you just change the position of the character?

Developer

move_and_slide_with_snap() is what i used.

Hmmm I don't see why that wouldn't work well. IDK.

Very clever idea :)

This was a very cool idea for a game. I had a lot of fun playing it. Making the rewind copies as a platform to jump and slide on opened up huge possibilities. Interesting puzzle game. Great Job :)

I had a lot of fun playing your game.  I was easy to learn but hard to master. You had a cool idea and you made a great game out of it.

Nice game, I liked the easy to understand design, and it was nice to play too. Would have been better with sound effects, but it also didn't hurt not having them.

Very interesting and funny. Great job!

Good idea for the theme. I like the game. Good work! :)

Great mechanic and I love the snappy controls, help me move about in the world.

Great job!

Interesting concept! Sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself to help your future self. That's wise.

Cool concept! I like the graphics of this game, the colors are well picked.

This is an awesome concept for a platformer. I loved the idea of jumping off of myself to clear gaps. I would make it to where your rewinds regenerate some how, maybe when the player isn't touching a clone.

This game uses its mechanic to make some super interesting puzzles. I do wish there was a restart button in order to retry a level sooner, but other than that, the game looks and plays great.

Developer

if you press Esc there is a pause menu and it has the restart option.

Submitted

Yeah I should have clarified I meant a dedicated button to restart. It can feel slow if you mess up a part of the level and have to either do 2 clicks or spam the rewind button to restart.

cool love colors duplicating characters is a different way to rewind and is quite interesting also showing you charterer from 5 sec is a nice visual

Cool little game. Nice concept with the duplicating of your character. Also, I like the idea of showing your character from 5 seconds ago even if it wasn't that useful for me.

Great game! good job :D

Very nice game! Really enjoyed the whole "using myself as a wall" aspect xD The controls were snappy which is good in my opinion, but I had a tendency to oversteer and jump too far especially when wall-jumping.

Legendary idea!

I would love to play your game but i cant open a .7z file

Developer (1 edit)

7zip is a free software to extract any compressed files. or use winrar if you have it. ask google about how to extract compressed files

Submitted

Don't know why but until I've seen this jam WinRar was working properly; I think It's something in unity, surely... Try 7_zip if winrar does not work
