When the characters are fused, they can shoot and are stronger together. Also, two players are stronger together than one :)
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, except for some environmental assets and sounds, and code ...learned from Brackeys tutorials

Lovely atmospherics, beautiful art style and just enough lore to flesh out the world and justify the gameplay. As some others pointed out, I too was left missing an ammo counter and was a bit confused about why I couldn't shoot at first when I ran out. Also have to try with a friend, pretty hard playing solo as expected.
So far one of my favorite entries of this jam, beautiful work!

Really nice graphics, good use of theme.
I read about this game on the discord server and it immediately caught my attention as the color scheme was pretty similar to mine, so I gave it a shot. And now I've been hooked on it for hours playing it for the satisfying visuals and sound effects. Great job, team!
Perfect fit about the theme. Playing with two people would be pretty fun. Some caveats I didn't like was not too sure about what I was picking up (assuming it was to do with ammo but couldn't see my ammo). Graphics/Theme/and Innovation are perfect marks from me though. Great game!

Wow, graphics is amazing. Characters are so cute and nice! I think you can use them for another game or continue this idea, add more features, some survival stuff.

Damn, the visuals, the sound an the ambientations are incredibly good, and the game is very enjoyable. I wish I had some friend to play his game in coop (sad Naruto music in), it seems to be funnier with a company. Greetings mate, you did an amazing job!

The game was beautiful...I found it difficult playing both characters but I enjoyed it.....

Thanks! The main game music was actually simple piano music played backwards to give a weird dark tone.
Very beautiful game and fun. It gets repetitive after a while though, with no way to progress.
Very very cool game mechanics. I would have liked the 2 players to look a little bit more different so to more easily spot which one you are controlling, maybe the one lighter than the other one or something. Depending on whether the fused characters has to be stationary for the intended game, one player could maybe move and the other one shoot. But five stars overall :)
Yea we actually wondered whether one should move while the other shoots, maybe it's something we could test out in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

It's the common trap when game deving, same issue with my game, I thought it was rather easy but everyone seems to struggle haha
Really great polished game! The lighting and art look amazing and I love the music and sounds. The character and world design are a really nice feature of the game too! The movement and shooting feels like much more interesting version of controlling two characters and I really enjoy it! Amazing job!

For some reason when I click the P key I get these strange grey boxes that appear under the cursor but other then that I really like style and idea of the game!
