In what way does your game fit the theme?
When the characters are fused, they can shoot and are stronger together. Also, two players are stronger together than one :)

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, except for some environmental assets and sounds, and code ...learned from Brackeys tutorials

Looks really good visually. I think it could do with some more visual feedback though (specifically when collecting the orbs)

perfect game, theme.

Developer

Thanks!

Beautiful art (specially the characters), calm and fitting atmo music and a very well fitting story and mechanics for the jam theme + local co-op on top. Very polished project, congrats everyone! Five stars.

Developer

Thank you!

Very fun game, and an interesting art style! I found it a bit too difficult to do the whole aiming thing, I  personally would prefer to have that  controlled through your mouse but, other than that, this is a very solid submission :D

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yea we still have a few things to tweak with the controls which we hope to do after the voting finishes.

I enjoyed a lot this game! Love the theme "tower defense" you did.

It remembered me a lot of the aesthetic of "Patapon" which is a good reference! Nice art.

I think there's nothing to improve talking about a game made for a Jam. It's solid and complete!

Good job!

Developer(+1)

Ah yes, it does look like Patapon! Wish we had thought to look at that when we were making it. Thanks for playing!

Nice art. Fits the theme congratulations :)

Developer

Cheers :)

Love the look and feel of this, especially in black and white. Also love the dual input! Though when fused, I think it would have made more sense to have a designated attack button or direct button from the movement to make it less confusing. Also wished I could have played in fullscreen while in the browser. Other than that great work and this was well suited for the theme!

If you have a chance please check out and rate my team's entry "Beatdown Breakdown Boomtastic" : https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/928162 It's a rhythm-based brawler!

Developer

Good points, thanks for the feedback. Forgot about the full-screen button, will enable after the jam voting!

It took a minute to get the controls down, but after that the game was a lot of fun and had a stylized feel.

Developer

Thank you!

So sad, I have no one to play with! But based on that, it’s a really cooperative game. The graphics and atmosphere are also good. Just black and white, but look stylish and fitting.

Very nice entry! Here are my complete feedback:

* Positive points
- Nice art direction

- Interesting concept of fusion x Shoot'em up

- Good sound design, for music and SFXs

- Controls are pretty handy

----

* Negative points
- Sometimes I couldn't shoot, but I guess that I was empty, but there was no indicator of the current bullets available

=> Overall very good work!

Developer(+2)

Thanks! Yup an ammo indicator is on our to-do list :)

I'm not told what the controls are, what the floating lights do, and I don't even know how to stop the enemies from getting to the campfire. In other words, don't have your tutorial written on the description of your game, because it should be in your game in the first place.

Also, aiming is a bit difficult.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback. These are all things we were wanting to work on, but didn't have enough time. Will be updating it later on.

I really liked it :)

Lovely atmospherics, beautiful art style and just enough lore to flesh out the world and justify the gameplay. As some others pointed out, I too was left missing an ammo counter and was a bit confused about why I couldn't shoot at first when I ran out. Also have to try with a friend, pretty hard playing solo as expected.

So far one of my favorite entries of this jam, beautiful work!

Developer

Yup definitely some small refinements that we're eager to update. Thanks for playing!

Really nice graphics, good use of theme.

I read about this game on the discord server and it immediately caught my attention as the color scheme was pretty similar to mine, so I gave it a shot.  And now I've been hooked on it for hours playing it for the satisfying visuals and sound effects. Great job, team!

Perfect fit about the theme. Playing with two people would be pretty fun. Some caveats I didn't like was not too sure about what I was picking up (assuming it was to do with ammo but couldn't see my ammo). Graphics/Theme/and Innovation are perfect marks from me though. Great game!

Developer

Yea an ammo indicator was on our to-list, but we couldn't add it in time. Will be sure to add it in an update. Thanks for playing!
