With that music, you could do the game much more darker, it would have more horror atmosphere and player would have bigger reason to find more light. I have made a game with pretty much same concept, but endless runner. I'm suprised I didn't find more games about lights.

Creepy atmosphere. I think you did pretty well with the camera control, although it felt somehow a bit slow (maybe the 'following' distance was too far?).

Cool lighting effects!

In general, as the others mentioned, maybe some extra power or bonus as you collect friends would make the game more exciting :)

Cool concept, I just would make some kind of bonus effect when you get more friends, maybe the player could start weak and shoot the bullets at a slow speed and then the bullet speed increases or damage

really nice idea, I love the idea of the player growing as you collect more friends, and nice colour changes too for each friend you collect. There were a couple of times i got one-shotted despite having full health on the first level. And i think some projectile collisions on walls would be good because I did get hit despite being behind cover. But overall really good, and the BGM had me on edge as I'm exploring each level.

hey bro, I enjoyed your game, I got to the second phase hehe, I was kind of stuck. but I thought it was very good, playing your game gave me a lot of ideas, I caught the kind of dark atmosphere of your game and the character, really good.

Cool game! The light changing when getting new friends is very cool but getting the friends does not really help you.

I really liked a lot things you did in this game:

  • The levels were challenging and there was good progression.
  • The camera movement was also really smooth and enjoyable!
  • The camera panning at the beginning of the level was cool!
  • The light changing colours when collecting a friend was a nice touch :)

A few thoughts that might make the game that much better:

  • If I found the exit the before collecting all the friends it would make me lose the level. I think it would be an improvement if you could continue the level to find the friends I missed rather than starting the entire level over.
  • Add some particles to when an enemy gets killed and when you get damaged. 
  • I was getting one shotted in the second level. Not sure if that was intentional but I found it made the game a bit too difficult for me.
  • Not necessary, but I think giving the player some control over the camera could help with seeing the enemies before they shoot you.

Overall, great job!

I really like this game! The music was really nice and the whole thing was very atmospheric! I like how getting stronger doesn't buff a stat but is more indirect by increasing line of sight. The last level was cool too how it was rotated. Some smoother camera movement would be a good thing to add if you plan on expanding this game.

The lighting makes it very atmospheric, I like it. My only critique is that I would have flipped the wall and floor textures or chosen something else altogether, though, as they were a little bit confusing.

This game looks just super good. The 2d Lights as a game mechanic works really good and the Detail that the range of the light increases with the amount of friends is just cool. However the levels are repetitive looking and the background fits not to the wall texture (not a big problem). But the game design itself is well done.

Very beautiful game. Nice effect with lights. Well designed labyrinths.
And that last labyrinth... nice touch with the rotation! Much harder to follow.

Really nice game! Pretty fun, I played all the levels (4th is my fav one, loved the aesthetics) Overall I really liked the atmosphere and the concept, but it definitely needs a way to tell the player where the goal is, or at least not make you restart the level if you get there without all the lights >< But apart from that, great game! Really good job

Good Concept, but it could use more impact to make it more interesting. like tilting the camera when hitting or being hit by an enemy.

I also noticed that the bullets can go through the walls, which makes it a bit less challenging since I spray those bullet all around to eliminate all the enemy in the levels.

But I REALLY Love the Ambience and the Level Design. Well Done Sir 🧐👍

I like the concept, but it could use some expansion to make it more interesting. The enemies could also get some expansion, as all they do is shoot a bullet every couple of seconds. However, I like the ambience and the graphics.
