The music is very relaxing to listen to. The controls are very good. The art for the player looked good but the game always looks better when the pixels are the same size even if the background is just tiled.

Played, a bit buggy, I guess thats expected when you do it in 9 hours :)

A little bit more time I think it can become a neat little platformer :D

Pretty good game for 9 hours! Obviously it's a bit buggy, for example turning around will displace the player a bit. One thing to point out is the artwork wasn't very consistent. The player was the only thing with an outline, and the spikes weren't pixel art. Aside from those things (all fixable), Good game!

I thought it was a very nice little platformer. The controls were responsive and when I died it felt fair.

If you keep working on this after the jam, let me know. I'd love to play a full and more polished version!

Thank you for the feedback, I will try and make it better after the game jam, I look forward to playing and rating your game as well!

The controls are very good.-perfect for such a percision platformer. I liked that the scenes are very short and you don't really loose progress through dying. Playing this was fun and the music was cool. Good Job!

Thank you, I look forward to playing your game

Cool platformer. Took a little while to get a feel for the spikes and their collisions. Fell into the floor at the same section mentioned in XCVZXC's comment.

Cool game! I think it would look better if you used consistently only pixel art graphics or only high resolution graphics - and in case of pixel art, I recommend turning off interpolation. The controls are very precise and responsive so I didnt have much problems with any level. Actually, the thing that eventually stopped me was a bug - I felt under the ground and couldnt do anything. I think it happened after I jumped on this rounded corner of terrain instead of flat ground. Here is a screenshot. Don't forget to check out my game too!

A small but fun game. Obviously it's kinda simple and buggy, but this is a Game Jam after all.

Where it shines for me is the level design. The game doesn't have many elements, but how they're put together is interesting and full of variety. The tricky platforming really made me stop and think about how I'll pull off each jump. The fact that dying only resets your position also made the game much more forgiving and enjoyable.

All in all pretty fun, a couple minutes well spent.

Cool story,  I like the music, I was not a big fan of the art, I've had a hard time figurig out what will kill me and what won't, especially with the red floor.

Thanks for the honest review look forward to playing your game

It was a simple but enjoyable game! I hope u can add the controls cause i didn't reckon one. Was able to find out W is jump and wasd to move. The orange box on the floor is lava right, but it doesn't seems like one. The music is nice but i hope u can add more variations to it.

Controls are in the instructions menu (top left) btw but thanks for the review

The character and background art is beautiful and I really enjoyed playing your game. In one of the levels I glitched into the floor and couldn't get out again though.

I like the style and the idea. When changing direction the sprite flips in a weird way, but it's a fun game.

The pixel art looks awesome and the audio fits really well. The controls are a bit frustrating though, I died more than I'd expect on the first level. Also when turning the character the sprite goes pretty wonky.

Short and sweet. I like your pixel art style, and the music was quite calming.

Really cute music and level design! The graphics definitely need a little work, the mix of pixel art and basic shapes is quite harsh and the anti-aliasing on the pixel art is not pleasant. Apart from that though, nice game! I'd love if you tried mine!

Cute music and main character is really nice! I fell through the textures one time :(

Quite cute and the music is really nice. The controls are a little bit clunky though. ^^
