I was little confused at start but then finally understood, I have to hide from the catastrophes. Game was lagging and weird bugs kept happening, but graphics was good. Restart button did not reset whatever changes I had made to the scene, music could have made it better but its still nice with the sound effects. Great work!

Graphic like a Serious Sam, good, but i don't understand gameplay... And GUI on main screen maybe make a contrasted, not black...

I'm honestly not sure what I was supposed to be doing, even after reading the page.  The map also didn't seem to replace the chunks I had dug after dying so I could just fall through the map.  Even with that I dug around for a bit a few times and whatnot, and it might just be me missing something is all lol.  Overall good job getting this finished in a week!

Good jam entry. When I got the hang of the game it was good fun to play. Perhaps in the future you could add more random events, but overall solid entry.

You graphics is quite good :) and audio is interesting. I would recommend you to fix moving a bit. It was more satisfying to jump nonstop instead of sprinting - walking is not fluent. Sprinting should be faster. I like game loading --> you included text and picture there, I didn't see this effect at any other game including ours (also made in Unity). If I die, there is no mouse to click on replay. Its also easy to collide with terrain and fall under it. Your game is good, but too buggy.

In walking are you talking about head Bob there will be an option menu where you can select if you want it.

What you think is the game loading is just a splash image.

One more think I remembered - the trees could have a collider (and maybe less trees). It would be much more interesting, but no sooner than bugs are gone :-)

If the trees have colliders the aestriod will just stand on trees I have tested that before.

Decreasing the trees is something which I will consider.

The concept looks interesting. I would have liked more randomness in the event, also the tired character event is just painfull IMO because you are so slow and the area so big.

I also like the digging mechanics, very well made !

This is a very interesting concept but there are a few bugs to buff out.

here are the bugs I had:

first as many others have pointed out, when you restart the game the previously dug holes do not get filled back in.  this is only fixed by quitting the application.

in terms of visual glitches as another comment pointed out, you laser(just the visual representation) is stuck activated after the fuel hits zero. another thing I found odd was the blue laser effect disappears if you get the gun's muzzle too close the ground. Also the tornado seems to be spinning very very slowly Not sure if this was an fps Issue with my PC but the rest of the game ran pretty smooth so I don't think so.

As for Gameplay, Initially I tried digging to escape the asteroid but that didn't seem to work, so i just sprinted away from it that worked. In my first successful run I sprinted toward the boat till the tornado appeared then just made a straight tunnel to the boat. On a second run I noticed that the tornado follows a set path so I just waited a bit for it to move away form the boat and walked over to it. So you may want to make the tornado chase the player. Also I got the warning about mines but never managed to step on one in over 10 runs.

I felt the camera shake and the footstep sound effect were a bit too rapid while sprinting, you may want to slow them down a bit.

anyway those are my observations. This game is very good considering you only had 2 days, I am very much looking forward to trying you post jam version

The whole issue worked fine in editor.

When you are too close to ground the gun is actually clip through the ground there is another camera rendering it so the laser is outside the ground

Tornado following you is something which instead of a fixed path is something which I will consider.

More mines I something which I will add.

There will be an options menu so the camera shake you can choose if you want or not.

Nice Game! Nice audio, innovation and game design! As for the graphics, the gun's design wasn't exactly matching with that of the background's. What I liked the most was the digging mechanic. Overall nice one.

yep to save yourself from asteriod or tornado if they come near you dig immediately :D

Hay i finally got round to reviewing your game! although there are alot of bugs that need buffing out i think this is really good for 7 day game jam - some audio, detailed graphics and bug fixing could make this into an  awesome game - especially if you start adding enemies  - i definetly think the voxel system needs a bit of work - im not sure if its intentional but when digging theres a small pause between the next dig - maybe you want to offload some of the stuff to a compute shader if this is lag - tho im not sure wether a compute shader would work for that - either way very good submission :)

I think except the rocks and tornado everything is very detailed as most of it is photogrammetry from quixel in 8k resolution

I did want to add enemies but I couldn't use the navmesh as terrain would update so I have to use Machine learning which needs training atleast for a day it will be there in the full version.

There is small pause not beacuse I wanted to,

 because my computer wanted to I mean I was getting 5fps without pause.

Also note I worked only 2 days.

only 2 days!? holy moly dude - also ah sorry confusion on my end - i have a low spec pc so that explains why graphics weren't coming out very high for me - im assuming unity auto scales down graphics but really good job dude!

Nice game but have some bugs. One bug is when my guns power is == 0 the firing effect is always  on

but, that's a very good game and graphics is very high :)

Got to the boat with that damn tornado on my heels!

This game almost has some horror aspects, I had to keep turning around to see if the tornado was behind me. Really awesome that you included voxel terrain in your game and I'm impressed by the performance. Are you running marching cubes or one of the fancier algorithms? And on the CPU or GPU? And how did you do the chunking? :) 

I did notice some issues with the voxel terrain though(holes in the mesh on restart, the sea plane poking through, that's a tricky one to solve I think, once I dug to deep and fell through the world, and a bit of texture stretching on vertical surfaces (triplanar mapping?)), but I'm guessing you're probably aware of them :)

Gameplay wise running around with a gun that's able to morph the terrain is always fun and it was cool seeing all the catastrophes you came up with to torment the player with, though maybe a couple more would have been nice. I only knew I was supposed to look for a boat from reading the game page, you should probably inform the player in game. Sound effects were awesome, really atmospheric. The graphics were great for the most part but the tornado was a bit jarring. Not really sure how to make a convincing looking tornado, maybe layer multiple meshes on top of each other with transparent noise textures and lots of particle effects? It should at least spin a bit faster IMO. Also it was a bit confusing to work out that I had to press escape on death before I could click  the 'restart' since I had not looked at the controls first. Was it not possible to uncapture the mouse cursor on death automatically? 

Those are just minor gripes, the game is good!

I am using async editing to get more performance.I cannot explain the entire chunking but I did use the burst package from the package manager in unity I am running marching cubes

I wasn't aware about the hole till I got some feedback in editor it worked fine but not in build .

The stretching I would new it would happen so I used an 8k texture.

The fall ground I didn't know I did face it while I was using unity recorder but the recorder while running does not peform physics very well so I thought it was an recorder issue.

I did want to make a better  🌪️ but l was running out of time as only the asteriod was done till that time.

I did write the code or unlocking the cursor but in the previous line I had turned off this script.

I will add more catastrophes in the games full version.
