Woah, the visual style of this game is absolutely amazing! All the effects were fantastic, and I love the dissolve effect at the end. Incredible job on the graphics. I also loved the vague mysterious story, abruptly cutting between the sections was very cool. Learning that green was bad then cutting back to the text was a very cool move that had me furiously thinking about what it could mean. I just wish I could dive into it more! I think the platforming could've been a little better fine tuned, the acceleration on the character was a lot. But overall this is a very cool game, and it deserves way more ratings! Fantastic job!

This game is Amazing! I've wanted to play it to the end, loved the concept, and would love to see a sequel. Congratulations!

Pretty stellar graphics and gameplay, as well as an unusual story that left the player uneasy.

Thanks

This game had me questioning everything! I enjoyed the platform bits and every time we had to start questioning the bot I was always thrown on what was happening lol lots of surprises!

Holy moly that atmosphere, made me wish there was more!! Good stuff. Played at https://twitch.tv/hedgein <3

That's a really well-made game,

initially, I'm sitting there and I'm like huhh😂

but then it takes you to this world or whatever, where platforming feels nice, I did feel the player was a tad bit too slow even when sprinting but that's just me😂

I love  the atmosphere and the concept,

and I'd love to see a full version of this where we actually get some story/explanation of what's going on,

The game-closing right after you get the book isn't the nicest thing but its a jam usually these things go way down on the priority list,

I really like it, good job!

thanks! well, if i will start explaining what actually happened inside game, it will ruin concept of the game and experience will be different

Well this game definitely had a very unique atmosphere.  Not really what I was expecting, especially after the game page and after the first couple minutes playing the game.  Then it throws me out into, somewhere.  I'm still not sure where, but wherever it is, it was definitely getting hacked or something.

It definitely added a lot of mystery to the story setup to have it cut in and out to a... dream world or whatever it was throughout.  Especially since the game acknowledges that it's happening which helps sell that.  Though the actual storyline I'm not quite sure where it was going, I understand parts of it, i just don't know how it all fits together.

As for mechanics it was a relatively well done platformer in those sections and there was a nice bit of polish to the terminal stuff especially the added audio, I like my clicky keyboards.  Although I do have to say that the skeletons on the last level were really fast.  They were going across the screen and out in a second which made reacting to them quite difficult to be hones to it took me a few tries to figure out how to deal with them,. Especially when they were on some of the smaller platforms.

I feel like lowering their speed would be a good idea, or increasing the characters (thought that poses more issues).  Possibly increasing the view of the camera could help.  Although it does seem to be a stylistic choice the camera size so that would conflict there probably.

Overall though definitely a very mysterious game to play and a very unique experience that gave me a lot of weird questions to be honest.  I would be interested to hear more about the  story for sure.  If there's any updates I'll be checking.

thank you for feedback! in my opinion, game wasn’t hacked, as yokoth said that we (book) can have fake memories but you can interpret it however you want

The chatbot framing was really unique. I appreciate all the work you put into the graphics and soundscape when it could have just been text on a blank screen. But man, if you're gonna make a text-heavy game, get a copyeditor.

Developer

thanks for feedback! i will fix all grammatical errors in next patch, i just didn’t have time for it

Oh my goodness this game was incredible! It was so eerie and unsettling! The graphics, audio, and gameplay all work together in a way that makes the game feel alive almost! I felt so unnerved when the bot responded to my question in a reasonable manner! And the ending was fantastic! I can't really think of anything I would say you can improve on! Absolutely stunning game! You really deserve more ratings!

I am sure I confused the AI when they asked me

“Can I ask you a question?”

And I said “yes”

then it  asked me again, “can I ask you a question?”

Developer

i will make him smarter in next patch, but game anyway not about AI

I played the Linux version and it ran (although I don't know whether it run correctly the entire time haha). The setting of the game was very special, and I liked the gameplay, good job!

(unfortunately it crashed after some time :[ maybe I'll retry later when I have my Windows PC available)

when the player picks up a book the game ends, but yes, its not entirely obvious

Soooo good, congratulations to the entire team! I really didn't want it to end so fast :(
Amazing art design, ahh, nothing but praise!

This is most likely the best game I've played in this Jam. Now I'm actually conflicting myself when I try to compare this game with my other top 5. Just

AMAZING!

Really in love with the way your enemies work. Awesome!

Audio and art are OUTSTANDING!

Cool game very polished!

Your game was spot on in terms of theme, its presentation was like a release version and not a game jam version. It could have been a bit more gamplay for my liking and fewer textboxes although the joke in the third one was quite funny. Great job!

Thank you!
