I like the idea of the same world map becoming corrupted over, great job there, though you could incorporate glitch graphics and possibly mechanics into the combat.

The combat itself is pretty dull. I'd say it either needs to be faster paced, deeper, or center around a gimmick mechanic.

Though those are critiques I would throw at a game that has been in development for over a week. For a game jam? phenomenal job. Keep at it!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

All in all a solid game. Art style and audio feels consistent and everything fits together well. If you were to continue working on the game. I'd recommend giving the player hints at the start on how the ctrl key is used for interaction. Also I think the combat needs a bit more depth. For me just spamming dream and psychosis felt pretty overpowered.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I wish I had more time to flesh out the battle system a bit more.

The game is definitely a good fit for the theme, I enjoyed the idea of multiple versions of the game world. Not a bit fan of the glitchy effect, but that subjective. The turn based system was neat. I think if you spam "control" the enemy doesn't get a turn. Didn't effect my anything ,just wanted to let you know, if you're planning to update the game. Congrats on the game!

Thanks for the feedback. Yea I caught that bug on the last day and didn't have time to fix.

pretty fun game, the art is sounds are really nice!

my only nitpicks are battle theme loops wasn't very seamless to me. And I think that when you press the action button on a dialog it should show the whole text instead of just speeding up.

I think I found a bug where if you smash the action button fast enough you can attack endlessly.

Thanks for the feedback. Yea there are some bugs in the battle system. Found them on the last day so didn't have time to fix.

I enjoyed the RPG part of the game. Glitches are cool. Would play again for this buff guy:

Developer

Thank you, glad you liked it

The glitches as you kept waking up was a really cool concept and the game fit the theme really well. Good job everyone on your team.

The glitch effect is kind of painful to look at.  But the concept is cool!

Developer

Sorry about that. I know it might be too much for some people.

The art and audio are just mind blowing! And the game is really fun to play as well, the robots talking in hexadecimal was very nice as well haha :]

Very good entry to this jam!

Developer

Thank you, glad you liked the jokes

I really enjoyed the hand-drawn artwork and general design of the creatures I faced. The combat itself was a bit repetitive and quite easy to exploit, but the rest of the game felt very smooth.

Developer

Thanks

I really liked the art style of the overworld in day 2. The combat was pretty repetitive and didn't have much depth, so personally I would have preferred a more narrative adventure that had more twists like the changing world between days.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I would have liked to add more narrative too. I planned to have 5 days, but time constraints.

Nice concept. The game’s art style was stunning. Though the glitch effect was a little jarring on the eyes. Fun game nonetheless.

Developer

Yea , sorry about that. The glitch effect might have been too much for some people. Thanks for playing.

Hey good game! I just somewhat love the glitch effects! But I'm pretty sad that there's no ending :( what happened to the crocodile then?

Developer(+1)

He'll live on in your dreams. Thanks for playing

Cool game. I really like that it tells a story and got different character. Insane for one week to work on!
