It was a little unclear when the olives (?) would become deadly, perhaps they need to flash or animate to indicate this?

Space Invaders, but make it Cuphead
Amazing art for a jam and a very simple but fun and fresh arcade gameplay. Hitting the UFO with two projectiles at the same time is very satisfiying. Loved the sound too, very on theme. GG!
Thanks for playing. Glad you noticed the extra sound effect for a double-hit, I pruposefully added that to make it feel more satisfying.

This is really beatiful, and also music is very pleasant !
It is kind of hard, however. Maybe adding a health bar would help ?

I really enjoyed the art style of the game, reminded me of cuphead. Also the gameplay feels smooth and well polished. Great work!
Unfortunately, the UFO got stuck for me on my first play, and when I reloaded I still ran into the same issue. That being said, the art and tightness of the controls are top-notch, really great work!

The space ship was stuck for me on the left of the screen but other than that it was fun.

This is what game jams should be all about. Small and simple, but polished to hell, fun, and unique in a way that only indie games can be. This aesthetic is so cool, games like cuphead lean into it a bit, but I haven’t seen any game take the look this far. Really cool to see animations that look like they’re from the 20s fitting perfectly into a well crafted game. Awesome job. My game is linked below if you want to check it out.

Super intense game play, had me at the edge of my seat every time I saw my score above 10! I had to focus up to win, the SFX for hitting the aliens is satisfying and when u hit the UFO! animations are amazing and so is the art, I love it great game
Cool idea! I love the hand-drawn animation! I did encounter a bug where the UFO gets stuck in the corner and I can easily beat it. Overall though, nice job!
Yes that bug is frustrating and it really annoys me that I can't fix it till the submission period ends.
Love the old film aesthetics. This game looked so good, only thing I would change is making it so you can clikc in the menu.
