How does your game fit the theme?
It fits the theme ¨An end is a new beginning¨ because whenever you die you start over with new upgrades.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

Nice game! Enjoyed my time in it ^^
Stationary flight while shooting, so I can move around as in a shoot 'em up! That was pleasant.
I wish there was more level. Also, the boss was not dealing any dmg, and I could pass through him. "Pixabay.com" is not credit by the way :/
Love the feeling of the movement and shooting, it felt really smooth. But something that would go nicely with that would probably be to add some form of animation to the pheonix. It's a little hard to tell when you take damage, maybe some camera shake effect would be good. Also when you die the player is still able to move or shoot a little bit. Maybe it also gets a little repetitive when you start dying more and more and it resets all the way back to the first level. But in general, it is a cool atmosphere!
Fun game, with nice graphics and nice phoenix-theme association!
Always love to see how the phoenix takes on the theme is on other games. We really didn't think there would be something that was almost identical to us yet so different in terms of our takes on the phoenix. The roguelike elements are on point with the theme.
Love the game so far!
Thanks for submitting the game to be played for the stream :)
Heres the link to the vod if you wanted to watch (games are separated into chapters and yours is the 11th chapter)
thanks for showing it on stream and for the feedback! It helps a lot
Great video, but where is my game in it?
Ok, that's cheesy, but I'll try your game, a couple from your video, and hey, here's my personal recommendation: Marlok the wizard. Check it out!
Greaat game, I like your graphics!
You did a really good job with your "Rebirth of the Phoenix". I think some minor changes would be nice to have but overall I enjoyed it a lot.
How the Phoenix moves and spits fire ball are pretty good. It moves how I want but it would be nice if the fire bird could look up and down and shoot his fire balls in that directions. Enemies could be larger and phoenix smaller but it's just an idea.
I have found some bugs or mistakes like irregular upgrades. It's a small thing but it would look better if cost text would be one after another. Other than that I found that The Pyramid's laser attack don't deal any damage and can be just simply ignored.
thanks for letting me know, I guess i mustve missed that in testing
Really fun game, I love it.
Really neat little roguelike. I like the concept and use of the theme. Well done!
Quick and simple! Liked it. I think it would be nicer to use mouse as the targeting system.
The graphics makes me feel like I'm in a cave inside of a GBA Pokemon game or something lmao, very smooth and engaging gameplay!
Love the music and graphics! It was a little difficult to get the hang of it, and if the player can face the direction of the mouse it would be better to shoot. Overall a great game!
I had so much fun playing it, thanks a lot! Loved the music. Would be nice to have a few seconds at beginning of new screen just to get your bearings where you are before getting murdered :p.
Nice game! freesh take on the controls keeping the player from flipping while firing, like it!.
Cool game, but I think it would fell 10 times better if you allow player to walk one direction and shot the other.
Reminds me of good old zelda
Pretty fun, neat little game!
Cool short experience, I love how You've put a Phoenix as the main character, implying that the Player after each death comes back stronger, like the -uhhhhhhh- Phoenix from the ashes!
