How does your game fit the theme?
With each death of the player a new hero will take the place of the previous one, so an end will be a new beginning.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

Nice platformer, like the use of theme, will be nice some upgrades, and for me is a little to fast the movement.
Lots of promise with this game. The beginning town scene gives you the impression there is a world to explore! Some good pixel art, but it would be nice if the pixel sizes matched for consistency. I also noticed you answered no to the second question about creating all the assets and code. What parts did you make out of interest?
Pretty cool take on the theme. Had a lot of fun with this one. Small feedback, a little more feedback when attacking would have gone a long way. Was hard to tell if I was hitting the enemies or not. Still a pretty good game!
I love that dying means we return as another character some time later! A great little touch than just re-spawning. I also like the level layout, linear but with plenty of platforming to keep me on my toes. The only thing i was missing was some hit feedback/ nockback on myself and enemies so that I knew when I was hit or who I hit.
A great submission! Well done <3
Really cool game, I like how things change after each death. The animations were great as well. One problem for me was I had no idea whether or not I was doing damage to anything (unless it vanished) kinda made it hard to fight the boss.
Very good game! Let me tell you, I was not expecting a story from a game made in a week. Clever use of assets and I was also impressed how the village changes over time to reflect the fact that there are less people in the village. I also assume there are multiple endings depending on if you get to the end or not. Nicely done!
That was pretty funny. Agreed with others that hit boxes are very hard to work out. Couldn't make sense of the section after jumping down at the end of the forest stage, where everything was really big, was that a boss?
