How does your game fit the theme?
The end of the collection game is the start of a minigame!

Code and assets were all done by myself using Unity's engine from scratch, music was made with Garage Band.

The game looks great and movement is smooth. I'm not sure about using the mouse to change the view. Might be better to have teh camera fixed behind the line of sight with some easing when you turn.

Simple game concept, the dash speed was really fast and i couldnt control it but thats just me, fun concept and minigames though.

The game has a nice atmosphere.  Good colors, music, and sound effects working together.  I like to imagine that the cube had red eyebrows.

The biggest area to improve is the camera control.  The rotation is very sensitive which makes it hard to look around naturally...instead you need to look around carefully.

With all the pickups around the map, it was hard to know that the lantern(?) models where just there as decoration or for light.  I did try to collect them and fell through the world.

I had a cache of power-up message, but didn't really see where that landed....or was it just a bunch more pickup add to the map?

The maze level is easy enough, but a little disorienting due to the high walls compared to the airy feeling of the main map.

Good submission.

That is some good feedback! I especially need to explain the cache of upgrades and what each upgrades do. And yeah in the Unity Player the camera control felt normal and uploading it to Itch seemed to multiply it by 2 haha, so ill have to keep that in mind next time I upload! Thanks for playing!

Thanks for submitting your game to be played in the stream!

Played through it a bit after you left and you can see my reactions over in the vod down below

(games are separated into chapters with yours being the fifth chapter

Thanks for checking it out and for the feedback! I was able to watch your review and appreciate the suggestions! As you mentioned, I think I need to work on making sure the player understand all the aspects of the game as I was vague about power-ups, minigames, ect. Thanks for the idea about music too, I will definitely implement changes to music based on section of the game! Appreciate you taking the time to look at my game! Thanks!

Very fun little game! :)

I enjoyed collecting the different powerups and seeing what they do! I think having the camera rotation speed set lower would have improved the feel of the game (I'm not sure why, but when building a game in unity the camera rotation speed always is higher than in the editor. You can fix it by lowering the rotation speed in the editor.) But overall, the take on the theme was clever, I liked the simplistic art style, the music was nice, and the idea was executed! Great work!

This was pretty good, I enjoyed collecting the upgrades. I also like how you made a screen specifically for falling out of the level. Nicely done :D

Thanks! And yeah if there is a bug I thought I might as well call myself out and laugh at it haha!

Ok so i found a bugg where i wjumped on a what i assume is some kind of lantern with a floating ball on it and the whole game broke and i fel in to infinity XD.

Developer

Yeah, I ran out of time to fix that but, but it should have popped up with a screen that mentions the bug and allows you to restart!
