How does your game fit the theme?
The player's friend is jailed and caged in a level and you need to rescue them. Once you replay the game however, you play as the person you rescued.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes.

The game looks really good but unfortunately the grab mechanic was bugging, i couldn't drop the cube on the button to progress through the level. The music is also fire !
Good game overall, just a small bug that is a bit annoying.
By the way, could you rate my game ?
Wow! The game looks incredible with that glowing light and slightly warped old TV look. The music is also in tune with the visuals, although it might be a bit intense. Would be nice if it built up gradually and reacted to the level. I think it would also be good if the difficulty ramped up more gradually. Overall though, very unique looking platformer!
Nice game! Nice atmosphere! Though I think that the game is way too unclear, I had to first figure out the controls, so you may have to change that, also the player feels a bit too floaty imo. But overall, it was still a pretty good game! Good Job!
(Also if you don't mind: it would be cool if you played my game too ^^)
Loving the synthwave vibes in this. I suck hard at platformers but this was a pretty awesome concept. I had a few issues with picking up blocks sometimes and I think having pickup and drop just be the same button would save having to shift between Q and E. Platform movement was great though, not too floaty in my opinion and the post processing was some great polish! What a great submission!
Oh yeah and why does the main character look like Allay from Minecraft lmao.
This game is way too underrated; The atmospheric graphics is just amazing and has cool synthwave vibes to it. And the take on the theme is really unique too. Great job man!
Overall, I really liked this game! Normal boi controls nicely, and I like the picking up mechanic, (although I found it a bit clunky with picking up the laser portals). The game also looks and sounds really unique and fun!
Web controls are broken. Atleast for me unfortunately.
Aesthetically beautiful. Some of the controls felt a bit clunky, but that could be me. I am not a keyboard guy. Super fun to play though!
Super nice game. Felt a bit weird that the portals didn't fall to the ground.
Nice little game! I didn't understand the "redirect bullet" mechanics at first: maybe a little animation (like the little line when you die) when a bullet teleport between portals could have made this more clear. Or maybe I'm just dumb, after all, I finally understood xD. I liked the concept and enjoyed the little puzzles!
The controls were a bit strange: having one key to grab and another key to release is really odd, I guess that's why many people think the controls are broken. I naturally tried to drop crates with the same key I used to pickup. And the "E" key is displayed in game, but the "Q" never is, you have to go to a menu
The movement is quite good, but the character has a little bit too much momentum: when I release my direction, the character continues to move enough to screw me ^^'. Keeping a bit of momentum is nice, don't get me wrong, but I would reduce it. The character also slides on the edges, which is a bit frustrating. The combination of this slide and the momentum make the general movement sometimes a bit janky. You're close to really nice controls, just these two little tweaks to make =).
The level design is nice, I liked how you showed the different possibilities the gameplay offered: puzzles, platforming, combat, a little "shield" sequence... That was really cool, and the checkpoints were appreciated =).
The little custscene is a really nice touch! The music is really nice, and I enjoyed the graphics, so good job on that =).
I reached what seemed to be the end, but... Is it bugged? A cutscene of me liberating my friend played, but my character slipped off the edge and died to lasers... Then, when I finally managed to time the cutscene to be played when the lasers were off, it just ended with a black screen... The description says "Once you replay the game however, you play as the person you rescued", but that didn't happen for me. Am I missing something? Unfortunally, in that state, it is off-theme ^^'.
Overall, that's a very nice concept, with a nice implementation with just a few nitpicks, a banger music and nice visuals =). Great job!
Yeah, at the end the game was bugged, I realized a bit too late, I will update the game after the jam is over, or I could send another link with the updated game. Thanks for your feedback!
1st Game i liked so far 5 star for me 馃憣馃徑
The controls seem to be broken on the web version for me
got stuck realy quick. was not able to get past the first laser :( game looks awsome. the control did not always behave like i expected. and sadly the options menue did not work at all. over all good job
OH, my bad, I was going to put a playthrough in the description but I was really tired after submission so I just went to sleep, thanks for reminding me. Also can you tell me more about the controls? They seem to work just fine for me.
