Bred! Fun overall, great variations of the bred bosses. Good job!
(Unfortunately didn't seem to have any audio, looking at the comments below I think I needed to try the downloadable version.)

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yes, the web version doesn't have audio and I'm not sure why.

Wow what a fun game! Enjoyed the theme you have going on and stayed consistent with it. Seemed a little easy as there wasn't a lot of variety in bullet patterns and for the most part I could just stand still without taking damage. Also not sure if it was just me but the browser version didn't have any audio(the downloadable was fine though). Overall, I enjoyed playing it and got the fast ending!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I tryed to get the difficulty curve right and failed, but some people liked it. I also have a lack of knowledge in making bullet hells, I did try to make a variety of bullet patterns. Some people are getting the audio for the web version some people aren't idk what's wrong with that.

Nice game, not too hard (which is nice compared to other stuff I played out there haha)

I don't hear any sound or music tho :(

The visuals are nice, shooting break is definitely fun haha

good job! :)

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'm glad (some) people like how the gameplay is on the easier side! No sound or music was an unfortunate reporcusion. Thanks for the positive feedback!

Great game! The shooting and mechanics felt solid, although I'm not sure how it fits the theme.

Also wow, that jam boss went from 0 to 100 really quick, lol

I would appreciate if you could check out my submission as well :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I actually have checked out your submission, amazing game!

This is a really fun game. The gameplay feels like a classic bullet hell game. Great Job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the positive feedback! Love your game!

Enjoyed this game, lots of juice in the the shooting and movement.

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Cool, bred, but it can be cheesed easily.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I am aware of the ways to cheese the bosses, but the submission period is over and I cannot change it :(

You've got the fun gameplay down but I think you're hindering the game a bit with the (admittedly humorous) choice of bread as everything, because bread is not particularly good at telegraphing its next moves. So some unfortunate telefrags and sudden phase shifts caught me off-guard, which is a bit unfortunate. I still had a pretty good time and would love to see more bosses with more patterns be made. (I see the jam phase was a bit of an experiment as it's best tackled by standing still and doing nothing^^)

Developer (1 edit)

Making everything bread was pretty much a non-negotiable trait of the game fro mthe beginning, but I see the problem with making the game bread. In retrospect I should've added some sort of telegraphing. (finally someone who gets the jam phase) Thank you!

Classic Enter The Gungeon style boss fights :) Creative and fun use of bullet patterns, some of them remind me of the Mine Flayer, a Chamber three boss in ETG. Which is like remembering a nightmare xD just kidding, though.

Basic mechanics and gameplay is good, but I think that the dash mechanic could use some work, it was a bit difficult to use since it felt a bit like a blink or teleport.

I'd definitely play this in the future if you'd add some sick new weapons and some game feel!

Developer(+1)

Enter the gungeon was a really big influence on this game! Thank you for playing! I admit the dash mechanic was a bit thrown together at the beginning of the jam... But nonetheless thank you!

Heap of fun, simple but effective. Would have liked some more variation in bullet pattern design, but still a fun quick blast. I got the "fast" ending, so it must have been quick? Anyway I could murder a sandwich now.

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the positive feedback! I did try to make variations of bullet patterns, but because of time constraints and a lack of experience making bullet hells I sadly could not. Thank you though!

Totally understand - still a great entry, stay proud of it!

Amazing job at making a whole bread (and bagel) boss fight! The game just kept going and going until i got the fast ending! Nice game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing, and for your feedback! Your game is good too!

Bred.

Ok so I'm really having a lot of fun playing this game!  But I guess the BGM could be a longer loop, although I believe it's because there's just not too much time to make music(´・ω・`)

Also I'm not sure what to do after I beat the game, it just stops at the "XXXX ending" screen(or just me being dumb and not knowing what to do haha)

BTW, the WebGL build's UI is just out of the screen, but since Windows build is working just fine, I guess it's not a big deal

This is really well made and it's just an awesome game! The  graphic are also undoubtedly nice.

Developer

Thank you for playing! You seem to be the only person experiencing the problem with the WebGL, but otherwise thanks!

I knew of the bread but I did not know of the vicious bagels too. The music was fun and funky. I really liked the patterns. The only bit that I did not like was the 3rd phase of the bread, the way it bocks your attacks, I found tedious. Otherwise, amazing game.

Developer

Thank you for playing! You seem to be the only person to get  the sound! A lot of people didn't like the third phase, but I did try to fix it. Guess I didn't do too well of a job.  Thanks for your feedback though!

Submitted(+1)

It was alright, i feel like there couldve been more polish in the game and also it couldve really benifited from sound. the game could also add something extra for it to feel more confined. But, to be fair, it was pretty fun

Developer

Thank you! I was planning on adding sounds but because of time constraints I couldn't. I would rather have no sounds than really bad sounds that are very few

the controls are VERY SMOOTH. the bred boi is also nice.

But why do i have to kill my bred frend?

Developer(+1)

It's them... Or you

I never though a bread-themed game could be this awesome! Also, the animations were really slick!

Developer

Thanks! I normally make animations in the art software, but this time I thought I would do something different. Glad it payed off!

Submitted

good start and i hope you finish it up. you were bred for this :)

This  was fun, all the bread was great. Really missed the sound in this one, I felt like I could almost hear the audio and sound effects. Some bullet patterns were unavoidable if you were too close, but that is a minor nit-pick. I got the fast ending, very cool to include multiple into the game!
Nice work!
