Very good bullet patterns and visual feedback! Loved the action and intensity and the mechanics were on point! Great entry!
Thank you for your (late) review :D
Good entry! The game is well polished, the artstyle is neat and I love the music, especially the breakbeat part. The loop isn't perfect tho, but aside from that I really enjoyed this game :D
Thank you for your feedback! I didn't make the music, I teamed up with a composer! You can check out their work on their soundcloud!
I had to rush the music, unfortunately. I joined the jam fairly late and, to make matters worse, the song's project file corrupted while I was making the track. But I'm glad you liked it!
oh that's unfortunate :(
congrats for making that sick track under those conditions then haha
I loved the slow down mechanic! Nice entry!
Thanks for your feedback! :D
Controls and visuals were nice in this one, the music also fit the theme of the game well. I would have hoped for a high score system or something to see how well I did compared to my other runs. Also the hitbox felt somewhat big, and it would have been nice to have some kind of audio cue or visual feedback of when the dash has came available again. Also some random elements in the patterns would take the game to a next level, since at least for me it seemed that the patterns came always in the same order. I did like the look of the boss very much, it oozing around and all, so cudos for that!
Check out our submission as well, if you have time :)
Thank you for your feedback!! I appreciate your requests, and will try to implement it in the next update!
solid 4-star game! definitely goes well with the theme, difficulty is spot-on. oh and i liked the music (especially when the amen break drops)
Thank you for your feedback :D
This is a pretty difficult game, though I really liked it. I never used the dash though, I didn't feel as though I needed it. I do like that the pattern was the same every time so I could memorize what to do.
Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad to see that you enjoyed the game :D
Tricky game :). But I enjoyed trying in multiple times.
Once i got to grips with the dash button, I was doing much better.
Could do with a timer, or some indication of progress.
Well done, nice Jam Entry! :)
Thank you for your feedback! I agree that a timer is needed! I will implement it in the next update :D
Congrats for the game! But I can't win! It's hard! LOL!
Thank you :D
My goal was to make the game very hard, because it is very short! I wanted people to keep retrying until they beat it :D
the game is simple and very challenging, I liked it. The instant kill makes everything more interesting, and the warning sign makes the player tense wondering what the next move will be. You could add a progress bar or a timer, that shows how much more the player has to go to finish the level. It could also have some power-ups or coins that spawn in the scenario to increase the score and/or help you get further.
Thank you so much for your feedback! I was thinking of adding a progress bar, and it'll probably be added in the next update! As fpr the powerups, there is already a dash and a slow down time to help you :D
Very Polished
Thank you very much for your feedback :D
I really enjoyed this game. Very well polished experience and it is pretty difficult. Good Job!
Thank you! I'm glad to see that you enjoyed this game :D
This took me by a surprise! Great job on the visual feedback and music department, I actually played for quite some time, every time I said to myself "one more try". Good job!
Thank you :D
I'm glad that you enjoyed my game :D
A-ma-zing!
I love well polished games, and this is the leader of well polished games! But I would ask for a more static camera considering how confined the space is. See what I did there?
Thank you very much for your feedback!! I was already disliking the camera, so I’ll fix it for the next update!
Congrats on the submission! Loved the game feel and the looks, I liked the phases and the patterns; I think I just wish the dashing was a bit more reactive/impactful, I think I would have appreciated a few more iframes after it ends? I especially appreciated the little telecast exclamation point thingy showing the next path of the boss. How did you implement that btw? Did you use paths/curves, or animator? or some manual tweening?
Hi! Thank you so much for your very detailed review :D
I did a LOT of animation..! To be precise about 4300 frames… The warning symbol uses the same position keyframes as the boss, just a little before the boss did :3
I will add more effect to the dash to my to do list!! It seems to keep growing :P
the game is really cool, i love the boss effects and everything, but it doesn´t have music, if there was music, it would be one of my favourites, the collisions are great, the movements and dash are soft and satisfying, overall, is great!
There is music?? Last time I checked, there was music in my build :P
Even some reviews complain that the music is too loud :/
Are you playing with sound?
oh, i would try it again to hear
o yea, now i hear, the itch.io was bug XD
reminds me of all the lockdowns :(
The art is amazing
But the sounds are a bit low compared to the music.
Thank you! I plan adding a slider for the volume of music and sfx! I didn’t have time to implement it…. :P
I’m very glad to see that you liked the artstyle :D
There are not many sound effects while playing, which makes the game feel a bit empty.
:O Oops, what sound effects are missing? Maybe they are overpowered by the music? I'm pretty sure I've got a sound effect for about everything... Welp, add that to the pile of things to add after the jam :D
It sounds like they're being overpowered by the music.
Ok! I’ll keep that in mind :D
