Cool concept without shooting or killing. It was a bit confusing messing with my brain between colors big and small words but I really liked the idea overall! Gave you a nice rating! If you like to check out our game too! :)

Great idea for the jam, but the switching in brain to go from RGB to RBG was too much. Also, nice addition with Stroop. The thing that you need most in this game is feedback to the player. Sound effects for positive and negative hits would have gone a long way, and also your music was just fine, it’s chill, enable it by default! Great work and entry!

Haha words hurt, that cut deep. Simple yet cool concept. Thank you for your upload!

I'm afraid I got an error:

"The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing:
Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)
SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)"

Okay. It's working now.

Fun little game :) It kind of broke my brain trying to reconcile the words with the colors.

Developer

were you using the stroop effect or normal?  =P

Submitted(+1)

Just the normal mode... yep... just my brains :D

Congrats on submitting your first game, this is a really great starting off point. Unfortunately I'm playing on a laptop without a number pad so I can't change colors. I know someone else mentioned the screen size, but depending on your game engine, you can change how the game scales with screen size. For example in Godot, you can change the display/window/stretch/mode to "viewport". A quick google should assist if you're in a different game engine. Anyway, nice work!

Developer

Sorry about that!   Thank you for the advice and direction---I'll make sure my next game screen scales better =)

Hey, great job for your first game!

One thing I found a little strange is only my numpad worked to change colors which I found a little strange, but that should be an easy fix.

The sound track is a little repetitive, and if you are doing a game where color matters a lot, try to avoid colors like red and green to make it more accessible to people who are color blind, especially for stroop difficulty.

Otherwise, its a really cute game. A simple idea and well executed. Nice Job!

Developer

Thank you!  I appreciate the advice.  I only mapped the inputs to the keypad XD so that's on me.  Won't be hard to add that.   I'll keep the green/red for color blind in mind too =)  Thanks for playing!

I really like the spiral shooter saying "Red" all the time. I think I died way too soon to find all features that you implemented.

Sometimes I died because a word spawned just next to me on the border. Maybe you could improve the game a small bit to remove the border spawn and spawn outside the border so the player would have a bit more time to avoid these sneaky words :)

Developer

It wasn't too deep on features, this was my first game I made and I just started programming =P I had 6 different things, the homing ones, the spiral, and then 4 wall ones that came from each direction.  After that, they just get faster.   Yeah walls are dangerous haha.  I'm not sure how I'd work out that outside the boarder spawn, since technically, they all spawn outside the board (besides the spiral).  Maybe a blink when something is coming from that wall?  Like a little color bar, single pixel long or something?

Blue keeps bullying me.

Lets find blue after school.  ( ੭ ・ᴗ・ )੭

Interesting concept that let bullets hit you in a bullet hell game. Is there any reason that the player is not at the center of the screen?

Developer

I am just bad hahaha.  I manually eyeballed the position XD I didn't realize anchors are so important

This was an interesting concept, I think this is the best interpretation of the theme I've seen so far.

Really interesting idea and concept. it is really fun ,simple and creative. I Really love it.
The music is also decent and relaxing. Overall , great job and keep it up !!

Side Note: I noticed that the Main menu UI isn't anchored correctly so if someone zoomed , or if someone used a device with a different screen size, The UI will be a little bit off. please take a look at the pictures I attached here to get what i mean.

ty ty ty =) thanks for letting me know!  I didn't realize how important it is to use the anchor function for all of those things.

Now that's a great idea! To bad i'm colour blind...

Seriously though, that's a pretty nice spin on the whole bullet hell theme ngl!

Developer

RIP!  I was thinking about adding a color blind mode too.  Should have done it.

Cool concept, very chill music - i like this one (also i think it should be on from the start). Fun gameplay, had great experience. Thanks for posting!

Nice idea, but I would like some randomness in initial player color to give more unpredictability in gameplay. Music is cool, I think it should be turned on initially at the start of the game (I had to turn on manually). Visuals are nice as well. I had some fun in playing it.
