Very strong in theme, but weaker on implementation. Fun starts out strong but wears down after repeated teleports

This is a great entrant! It's a theme everyone can relate to: What is [insert seemingly innocent location] was dark and abandoned, only to be haunted?

To be a bit more constructive, it doesn't feel very personal. It seems like a bunch of free assets thrown together, which results in some immersion-breaking stuff, like the main character seemingly being about as tall as a car.

I really like the "Marco Polo" mechanic of calling out to the car that is seemingly changing location a bunch of times whenever you think you're getting close. But with the already slow movement speed, the game ends up feeling sluggish because you have to completely stop to use your keys to locate your car, which is a few seconds of just standing still. I'm guessing this is to avoid the player moving too close to the car before it changes location?

Also, don't use the car keys when interacting with the girl. It broke my game (unable to move) and I had to restart. Also, it's quite immersion breaking to beep your car when this creepy girl approaches you.

I'm not a big fan of the ending. I audibly laughed out loud when what had previously spooked me (a car almost running me over, some creepy wraith-like lady hovering in front of me) was replaced with a dragon. Also, spoilers, the game ends with you being eaten by a dragon. It could've been a really creepy game, but the humorous ending kinda ruined the vibe from me. Still, a really solid game! One of the best I've played from this jam!

Theme: Deffinetly spooky horror, with a nice variety of set pieces

Fun: While I liked the horror theme park experience, I was annoyed by the slow walk speed and having to stop every time I wanted to check where the car was. It made the experience uneccessarily long, and in case of crashes or getting stuck due to bugs (After 3 tries I just gave up) it takes a while to redo progress.

Game Design: I can't say for the whole game, but deffinetly make the game "shorter" by allowing the player more freedom of movement. There are some nice set pieces that make your hairs stand on end, and it's not bad to be a shorter game. Just moving at a snail's pace does two things for me:
1. I can't run away, so there is no tension of anything actually being a threat, because I don't have the means to mitigate it
2. Makes it feel like a drag to go a few steps in total darkness (the light only helps minially), stop, click, whoosh mouse around in search of the car and continue the trek

Also a tiny bug I noticed - in the start room, if you look down and move around, you can see the shadows of the items you can use - the punch card and something else I think. Don't make them cast shadows ;)

Overall, liked it, couldn't finish due to bugs and crashes (sometimes couldn't move after the little girl stopped me to turn around)

Thanks for feedback. Some parts of gameplay like using the key and not moving are essential. I had to add it at the last day as i could not let player see teleportation. Sorry about that stuck problem. Couldnt find it on the flow as there are lots of conditions in the code that overlapping and its a bit hard to find the moment, but might take a look into that as i did notice someones playing the game and in fact stucked in a place. As for speed, there are triggers all around the map and walking too fast would trigger more than one at a time which would not look good:)

I see, and I also use teleports in my game :D Maybe consider making the playing field bigger then, so that the player can move around comfortably while experiencin the spook. Keeping them hostage in place while they view a spooky situation doesn't sound the best to me - they can't run away or react in a "in the moment" way, ruining immersion

I've only played 2 games from the jam so far but I can't see anything topping this on the horror meter! The voice overs, sfx, and visuals were all AAA quality. This game has my heart pumping the whole time, I can't even play it more than a few times before I had to stop! I think that wins the horror theme.

I'm not sure how I feel because at points I did get scared a bit, but at other I laughed (specifically at the spider) but after 10 minutes of walking from one end to end at a snails pace in a place that looks the same then seeing the same scare multiple times I just gave up from lack of anything new. However I feel like if I was given more of a clue on what to do and was in a more unique environment it would really have felt more enjoyable.

This game is really cool. For starters, it's very horror like and fits the theme. The visuals and sounds are perfect. And, it's decently entertaining. My only tip would be to make it a bit more clear as to what the objective is. Overall, great work for a weeks time!
