From the main menu it was super special awesome, art-wise and the particle effects were super special space. With that said, I think the gameplay is a bit frustrating but if you are extremely diligent and patient, I think it is very easy and I liked the story a lot. Good job my dude!

I must say that i really loved the game, the art is incredible, the music is so good, it fits the theme very well and the story is really nice. But the player movement is the only thing that dont feel to nice, the main character is too slow for the amount of backtracking you have to do, i wouldn't mind having to walk again all those rooms if it wasn't so slow and everytime i restarted i didn't wanted to go trough everything again. And also theres a bug that demotivated me to look for the second ending, when the player falls in a hole it seems like the game doesn't know where to put a checkpoint for the player to go back when he dies, so when i died after going in a hole without passing through a zone with a checkpoint i needed to restart (This happened to me twice bc i forgot that it happened the first time kkkk). I said here the negative part in my opinion because i think it's more important to see where we fail so we learn more, but i really really loved the game, it's winning material in my opinion.
Thanks for the feedback! The sad part is that we actually found the respawn bug shortly after the deadline ended, so i posted a little disclaimer and a description on how to avoid it. As far as i am aware, you cannot pin comments over here (or if you can pls let me know how :) ), so the comment got lost here somewhere in the comment section.
We apologise for the frustration caused by the bug and we will do our best to prevent these kinds of mistakes slipping through in the future games.
Beautiful art and interesting concept. I do feel like the platforming felt a bit unresponsive at times when I would be trying to move and jump at the same time.
Have to admit I didn't see the end. Trusted Umbra and didn't trust the happy old man so I was sent back to the beginning twice and didn't feel motivated to continue playing. Maybe if in addition to killing the player when they're tricked, something was revealed about the nature of the game world so it didn't feel like a random loss?
Really good game, the art style was very nice and the audio design is great. The only thing I didn't quite like as much was the player controls, often I felt like the player could have jumped a bit better or moved a little quicker, or had grace jumping which I saw someone else mention. But apart from that the game is great!
One of the best entries I've played.
Art and animation are stellar. Everything is well done, the place looks alive and conveys the dark mood.
Character controller is almost perfect. The only thing I found lacking was the absence of grace jump, so if the player is at the very edge of a platform, he doesn't register as grounded. Not brilliant for areas with precision jumping. But, given the slow pace of the locomotion and the immediate and close by restarts, this wasn't a big problem at all.
Combat was surprisingly engaging, perhaps slightly weakened by the instantaneous and infinite respawns.
I think the theme has been explored effectively and on multiple layers of depth. The Death cave and the Purity cave, the deliberate misdirection, the fact that you don't know you can shoot until later, which informs New Game +, the fact that you can kill NPCs and destroy pickups really made this shine.
Audio was solid as well, with great music that set the tone and informative and fitting SFX.

Secondly, we of course appreciate the constructive feedback regarding the grace jump. We will definitely fix that and update the game after the jam ends and make sure that we focus more on polishing character controls for the future games.

That's strange I swore I rated and commented this game because this game is a very well made game. Oh well let me write it up again. This is one of the best, well polished and fun game play out in the game jam. I enjoyed it so much. The visuals is simply the best. This game reminds me of Ori and the Blind Forest.
