That was a beautiful tale! And the art looks very lovely (loved the contrast of the sky with the more dithering pixel art look vs the rest in the conventional pixel art look). I would have loved if there was a more meaningful interaction with the koi pond though! That's such an impressive piece of art and I feel like it would have been great if it was more integrated in the story/interactions!

One of my favorite indie games. Just beautiful. Played for the jam!

very nice visuals

Love the close up art! And the story was great. Although I got stuck at the final tree scene where it was fully bloomed and couldn't interact or exit from the screen. Also, PUT THOSE GRIPPERS AWAY LOL

Yay! I saved the day. Nice cute little story and wonderful art. I was afraid I had to choose one of the actions and was killing the tree instead of helping. I was glad when I found the spirit. I like that it's more of a meditative game.

The story and the art complements each other so much! Also the fishes at the lake are so well made its a bit mesmerizing. Had a great time playing!

Art was amazing! Story was great as well. Maybe a slower walking pace would fit better with the rest of the game.

What a lovely story! I reeally love all the art too. The spirit was so cute and that koi fish pond was stunning!

Absolutely love the art style (those koi fishes are amazing !)
really liked the story telling and the dialog was very well written
a bit slow with the whole "tree care" minigame but it's okay

Great job :)

Oh man you two nailed it! I got nostalgia for all the flash games I played as a kid.

Sound effects were great, the dialogue was well written, the art all works so well, I love the fish so much. Great job and I hope to see more from y’all.

spent most my time looking in the pond 10/10

Cool game. I can only imagine how long it took you to make that koi pond.

Cool game with a short dialogue telling a short story that is quite immersive. Fish in the pond is definitely the core of the game :)

I loved the pond

This game is really cute and cozy, I liked the story and the characters

I looooved the pond animation so much! I wanted one like that for my own game haha

Played through the whole thing and I got quite immersed. Simple story but definitely cozy! Though I must say the best part was the cute fishies in the pond.

Very cute game! Sadly I got stuck on the tree once it started blooming :(

I'm sorry if you experienced a softlock! The intended sequence was seeing the blooming sakura tree on week 4, tending to the tree, hearing the spirit talk to you for the final time, and then seeing the ending card with some accompanying music. If you didn't experience some part of that, then it definitely wasn't intended - I apologize. 🙏
