Very interesting, definitely breaks the rules !

Got a bit lost as there's so much dissonances, but it creates a kinda crazy mood, it would fit well for a frenetic bossfight :D

good job !

Oh, yeah, I like how simultaneously calm and chaotic the song is! I think you do such a good job of dancing that line between both and highlighting one slightly more than the other at certain point throughout the song. Realllyyy cool noises going on that made my spine tingle

You had some cool ideas in this submission and I can definitely tell you wanted to go for something that was more crunchy and dissonant. As someone who knows some musical theory, I think there's a more balanced way you could approach creating that dissonance. Even when you're composing really dissonant sounding music, it works best if you have a key in mind that you're trying to compose around and then adding careful tension and release. You did a really good job breaking the rules though and taking lots of risks.

I really dig this take on breaking the rules because of how fitting it makes it sound for video game music. It makes me think of late-game Undertale boss music with how brutally intense it is. I actually feel like if you were going for an old-school sound, the missing low end makes sense to me since that plus the harsh staticky instrument sounds reminds me of how playing games on smaller systems like my DS would sound haha

I also have a DS, which was my reference (kinda)

Thank you!

Glad that you did your first jam with us :) the track is very spicy, I like all the dissonance and the breakbeat. It's quite hypnotic, and you definitely broke the rules in a good way. My ears were begging for some low end element, a nice kick or bass, or even just some ambience, could have taken the track to another level. But it's already really good

Nice rhythm and succeeds in creating an unsettling vibe.

I couldn't stop thinking on a chaotic run in a pyramid full of monsters trying to catch you lol. Cool song btw, i just feel that a bit more variation on the melody could add a bit more color for the song, but even that it's a good track.

break the rules with breakbeat! :) nice style and mix! Do i hear some good old fruity loops guitar sounds? This track could maybe use some low end or making the e-guitar parts somehow harder/harsher could be cool too. great song! :)
