Great text based game, sorry we didn't had more time to test it out more, couldn't find the way to launch the rocket, maybe a help command would make it more playable.

Wow! Really cool text-based mechanics! I had a lot of fun trying to figure it out and reading the hilarious comments.

Very satisfying moment when you finally launch the rocket! I made it!

Great job!

Another text-based game!
Love the aesthetics and the feel. I especially like the humour

Nice game. Played very few terminal based games so far . But this was the best among them. Though i had to struggle a bit to get the correct command. Wanted to launch rocket badly that After reading the he comments i went through your code and got some of them.

Some clues here and there would have done the trick . Very nice try

Hard to find command wen we are frenchi but I realy like the work !

I really like the overall idea, but the execution is rough. In particular I love the humorous tone and how the graphics hint at the correct solution. The main problem is "Guess The Verb", which, in fairness, is common for text games.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback and this interesting link !
Yes like I said in another comment I planned to add a "keyword recorder" but missed time... :/

Very nice concept!  I also had to look into the code to find some more hints :P
Besides that I really enjoyed it. Good job!

Nice little text adventure, it would be nice to have more words and a bit of a description of the environment, like there's a checklist or something like that. Good game

Submitted(+1)

Nice to see a text game. I admit I had to read the description to get a hint. After that it was relatively easy. [spoilers]I suppose that if the game accepted more synonyms it would feel more natural (like ignite the engine as well as fire engine). The first time I shoot in the wrong direction, so it was an interesting and unexpected detail that geometry and relative position matter.[/spoilers]

Nice work and cool take on the theme, I didn't manage to switch on the engines, but I did manage to fill the fuel tank.  The music is awesome and the thunder and lightening is a nice touch.  With a bit more information text in game to help lead the player to figuring out the commands would make it easier for people to play.

It is a little too hard to figure out what the commands are while knowing all the commands you can beat the game in a minute. So I guess the best approach here is to design this as a puzzle game. Not necessarily giving a lot of hints to the player but more like puzzles for players to figure out the commands themselves. Currently, I would say there is no good way in the game that allows the player to logically come up with the correct command. I love how you approached the theme tho. Great job!

For example, I tried “fuel”, “fuel up”, “add fuel”, “gas”, “hydrogen” but they all would not work. I would never know until I looked into your source code that what the correct command should be.

Developer

Thank you for your detailed feedback! In fact I wanted to add a command record to save all the keywords typed by the players with the number of times they are entered. And I wanted to do a "play test" to see the most common commands and then implement them as additional keywords for an existing command or as a suggestion command. But I ran out of time to do that.

Very unique making a text based game for this jam. However I was not able to make much progress as there is very little information to go on and no real instructions.

I figured out everything on the checklist, except how to start the engines. I like the concept, but I kept getting stuck and inputing random commands and getting funny responses. The fact that the help and hint commands are useless doesn't help too. But yeah, could be a great game with a bit more polish! Nice work!

I like the humor, knowing the checklist command made it easier. I got stuck at trying to start the engines (the start engine command doesn't seem to work?). Overall nice concept.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback !
Ooops I just realize I forget to a add "start" on list of accepted keywords for this command, in  fact at the start of the project this command was splittted into two, first you have to turn on engine with the command start and after there is a fire command to finish starting the engines, then I decide to remove the first command but forget to move the keyword start on the other command...

Yay, another text game!

This was great! Made me laugh a lot. Only slightly disappointed it was made in unity instead of actually bash scripts compiled for WASM or something.

I get that some folks were frustrated by having to figure out the commands but honestly that’s part of the genre IMHO.

Developer

Yes I'm sure there are much easier ways to do that than with unity. But  I didn't take the time to look and I wanted to learn how to use the unity engine because I have a lot of other game ideas in mind ;)

Thanks for your feedback, I'm gonna try your adventure too !

Right.... So....

First of all, I had to go to the codebase and look at the code to figure out the commands. And.... I loved it.

I REALLY enjoyed trying to figure out how to get it launched, it would have been nice to tick off the checklist each time I got something right though.

It was super fun. I think having to figure out the commands was part of the fun. 5 stars from me

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for this very nice comment! It's really appreciated! :D

Submitted(+1)

Couldn't really figure out the commands to do anything but liked the idea and style, would love to come back when there are a bit more instructions.

Submitted(+1)

Nice game, but finding the commands is quite hard. Maybe some more in-game helps could help.

Submitted

Wow what an awesome game! I did get stuck.. and I did cheat and look through your github.. But the fact that I felt a need to do that should say everything!!! Great game and concept!

Developer

Thanks for your really nice comment !
Yes the commands seems really hard to find... so I think cheats are allowed ;)
Especially by searching on github it couldn't have been  easy

For us devs, the idea of using bash to play is really cool! I found it very difficult to understand what commands I could enter, but I really enjoyed the blue screen by typing exit! Bravi excellent project!

Developer(+1)

Haha I was wondering if someone will find this command! :D

Thanks for your comment !

Submitted(+1)

Yeah I really enjoyed that bit too.

Maybe you could expose a file system so we could cat or ls to find the commands we needed?

Developer

Oh yes filesystem could be a really great idea !
Thanks I will think about implementing that in a future version ! ;)
