Too many bugs!
Fun game and actually a lot more challenging than I anticipated. Good job!
Lol what a fun game! I love the glowy particles and silly premise :D Yes it’s hard, but that’s okay I had fun anyway :D
Interesting game !
Even though it looks hard in the first place, I like it this way !
The fact that there's a very little window to have the initiative on enemies (without getting attacked first) makes players try an alternative plan I guess
My meta was to rush the dash ability, then chill on a unreachable platform, wait for enemies to stack a bit, and then farm some of them with my dash, then come back safe again.
Though, there is an ability system, they have their UI, so I think this is a good demo and that it has the potential to scale (adding abilities, finishing a level, making some part of the generation random for replayability, etc..).
Nice visuals and sound but I felt the game was too hard. The bugs seemed to have as long or longer reach as the player and you could not seem to be able to bait attacks out, they would just hit. It seemed pretty impossible to actually fight them without getting hit.
Good job but I found it really hard to play, I died 237468726281 times :(
Maybe some healing on the way, some clue about the controls and a bar of progression (to see some light).
Thanks for the experience!
It it a bit too hard I think
How to I punch a bug without losing HP?
Anyway, it was fairly fun and interesting, good job!
I enjoyed playing the game and I liked the SFX and VFX.
I couldn't find a way to punch the bugs without losing HP though, wanted to play more!
Nice gameplay and graphics, a bit tough though, maybe add a way to heal your health.
Also when punching sometimes I am not sure if a punch actually hits or not. adding a hit flash to the enemy would be a good visual feedback. GG!

The Best Game
Had fun using the dash ability and the punches very quite satisfying.
Fun gameplay, a bit too hard maybe. Dashing into groups of bugs is very satisfying! Loved the graphics and the effects.
Nice work!
Nice Game , Gameplay is litte hard , but is nice for challange
Arts and mood are good. Gameplay is little hard, but fun.
Nice job!
Nice game! Good graphics and effects. The controls are a little difficult to use though.
I like the the illumination on the blood splashing. The game is a little hard though so I started jumping/dodging the enemies instead of fighting them XD Nice work! (This game makes me want to learn how to make blood splashing in fact I will go google it right now XD )
Adding that bug splatter VFX upon killing enemies was SO SATISFYING. I personally struggled alot with making any progress with this game, it’s tough! Im not an MLG gamer tho…Awesome submission!
Bug was the theme for this year's game off, and Nanodoom 2D certainly delivers those in droves. The movement in this game feels effortless, I just wish I could do it a little more before being slaughtered by a horde of mantis-like claws. The especially great highlight for me was finding the speed powerup. I yearn to find whatever comes far to the left and right of it, as I can't seem to find a way to strike the bugs other than with the power up and not take damage, a losing proposition. The blood spatters are a satisfying glowing green, so when the powerup is propelling you through hordes of bugs it feels fantastic, but when that powerup runs out, it feels difficult and confusing.
Hope whoever crosses here enjoys!
had a blast learning, building, & watching this come to life a bit!
Thanks to @Crossedkiller for Music & SFX!
