Impressed how polished this game is, the game play is great and impressed how well it runs in the browser.

Developer

Thanks a zoidb, I think the fact it runs well in web is a side effect of the art choice of using low poly models, we do also care about using always simple box colliders during the entire game development.

Really fun game! Loved the weapon power ups, made it really satisfying to go back and find the ones you couldn't get the first time around. Nice touch having the grapple come out of the spider's back making you aim opposite to shoot it

Developer(+1)

Thanks, the optional pickups where there to make the game easier if the player wanted and to create a little bit of replayability. The grapple idea came in a brainstorm session and we thought “what if the grapple comes out of its natural spider position” and stood out as a fun (to us) game mechanic.

Amazing work team! This game is really impressive and super challenging!

Developer

Hey Matthew, thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Great game! Loved the pacing. And being able to traverse with the grappling spider web between platforms was cool. When you get the rapid fire, it's sooooo satisfying. Nice graphics, the spider tank is so cool looking, and great animation too! The difficulty level felt just right. This is definitely a game I would want to see as a full game. Good job guys!

Developer

Glad you liked it! The web was a different kind of tool we wanted to implement and together with the dash mechanic it makes the game more fluid and fast.

Holy crap dude. You could win this.

The best game I’ve seen so far in this jam but several country miles.

Developer

Thanks! I’m happy you liked our game so much! All the team spent a lot of effort to make everything very polished!

Amazing game. Well made and polished. Really fun to play and challenging to complete with 0 deaths. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for your comment and glad you liked our game! We too had some trouble finishing it with 0 deaths during our gameplay tests!

This is really well made and polished. Controller support, cool environment, nice animations, powerups, impact of combat, abilities, even the spider is moving in the main menu. Whats there to not like? Amazing job!

Developer

The controller support was the last minute feature we decided to cram into the game and now I understand why so many PC games ported to video games choose to still use a “virtual mouse pointer” instead of proper menu navigation, is a lot of work hahaha!

Thanks for your feedback I hope you had fun.

As an arachnophobic, I'm surprised that I have fun with this game.

Good job :)

Developer

MATT is a cute spider, it shouldn’t trigger arachnophobia (we hope) haha Thanks for playing our game I hope you had real fun playing it :)

I begin, a horrifying sedan sized spider among a city of similar sized insects, the beetle, the cockroach. I see that humanity is not outside the doors of its well maintained city. I assume that now I am the protector of this dock side city and proceed to pulverize the other bugs, open doors and make my way, gaining abilities as I go. For a one month shot this game is pretty marvelous. I had a lot of fun, death doesn't stifle shortcuts, and the firing of my weapons, movement and destruction of enemies feels very on point. I would honestly play this game if it had more levels for longer.

Developer(+1)

Loved your take with a possible story behind the game and why the bugs are of this size! Also, glad you liked it!

Submitted(+3)
