Snake but not snake, very nice! I like how there's a change in what you have to do in order to separate this game from the classic snake, though the slow movement rate made the game kind of hard to play, in a way. (I'm not sure if this was a bug or not, but after eating an enemy, going the direction opposite of the way you were facing could cause you to lose the game! I lost twice because of this, heh)

Very original snake game! The graphics are good and the gameplay I felt a little slow but is very nice :D
Nice work!
Definitely gave me the old Nokia snake game nostalgia. The ticks felt a bit too slow for me though. I wish I could bodyblock because having to navigate to get to the bugs while they were feeding off my flowers felt a bit frustrating...
I was delighted when I saw it was a spin on snake as it's one of my fav games! I was obsessed as a kid haha. I was a bit disappointed when I was doing so well and I accidentally pressed the left key and I crashed into myself in a straight line, I didn't expect that!
Seeing as a worm has two ends you could make this kind of fast pace and when you press a key, you switch to the other end because i found myself zigging and zagging just a tad too slow sometimes!
Nice entry regardless! Loved the art and sound!
Nice snake game! I find it a bit confusing that the worm can make a U-turn on the spot and crash against itself, but otherwise great music, nice art!
Good and original reinterpretation of the snake. The graphics are very nice the music is cool and the gameplay works well ! The only little problem I saw is that when the bugs overlap it seems like they disappear, but it's not really annoying. So, nice game, you did a great job ! 😉
Cute game! But I think that it was rather slow and making difficulties for speeds might be a great idea. Also I've encountered some bugs:
- Worm's tail had sometimes wrong sprite (i.e. it could look up when it had to look left)
- Flies could walk through me (maybe its a game design)
Nice game, pretty simple and fun. I liked the graphics, it looks good.
A cute game! I liked the muted color palette that nicely tied the whole thing together. I think it'd be neat if there was some way to modify the speed at which things moved, and also some instructions inside the actual game about how you need to stop the bugs from eating the flowers. Overall, great job!
Thanks so much for the feedback! Yes, Matty did a great job on the visuals - I'm so glad to have worked with him.
In a post-jam update, I think I'll add a random chance for a spawned bug to be another colour (gold perhaps?) and eating it gives the worm a quick (temporary) speed boost. Let me know what you think of this idea :) I'm also going to add a quick cutscene showing that the worm needs to eat the bugs - thanks for the tip!
I've just checked out your game and left a comment there. Thanks again!
Very impressive for your first game. I love the color palette and art, they look so beautiful. I enjoyed playing it :)
