Creative idea! It wasn’t clear from the start how to aim but the game was fun, the upgrades system shows effort and the main concept of rolling dung to through it is fresh… like freshly rolled dung haha nice game, well done!

Great game! Auto target feature made using arrows to both move and shoot far less painful, and the menu artwork looks awesome. I really appreciated the music too, great work!
This game is lots of fun! Great entry! I love the music, the controls felt smooth, and the art was good. All around a great game to play. The auto target ability really allowed me to move around more and not focus on pointing the player at the character that I wanted to shoot at. That was a nice touch. Lastly, the start screen looks very nice. I really like the layers you have built up in the artwork.
Cool idea the way in you made the shooting system as well as auto-targeting the enemy which worked both in my favor and against it. For example, there were times I could stay far enough to not be engaging the enemy but my bullet would still hit them (a little dirty strategy but hey, "dung" is the name of the game) while at other times it kept shooting at the wall even though there was an enemy in front of me (perhaps one could argue this is an intentional 'bug' ;D) but it be nice if the code would check if the auto-targeted enemy is behind a wall and try to find one that is not behind a wall and chose that one instead. :)
I loved running around evading the bullets, and the main menu music is absolutely breathtaking. Not sure if it's because I don't have to aim, but it makes having to press the space bar kinda seems like a chore that I have to do every other second because the value of the mechanic added to the game isn't obvious. Humorous interpretation of the theme which I appreciate!
Wow, I've rated some games now but I never thought that I would run into a game that I wish I made that. Your game is really something I wanted my game to be. If you play my game you would understand what I'm saying. Nice job!
The progression of my beetle was fun, with the ability to shoot through enemies and walls being highlights for me, particularly with giant dung balls. I really enjoyed being able to build a giant piece of dung on shop floors and then just firing it off on the next floor.
I really enjoyed the interpretation and playing through the game!
I never thought I would be rolling shit in a game. It fits the theme nicely and I like the gameplay. It gets really tough to fire dung in small corridors and spaces though.
Really cool and unique idea. I love the roll up your weapon mechanic and I love the upgrades in between levels. I also love the level variety, instead of just having many waves in one room you keep the game nice and fresh feeling by changing scenery.
I really loved the music and the sprites :) Can I give you an advice?
With this tutorial you can change the splash screen in unity, here
I'm a sucker for roguelikes. This was a pretty ambitious game, there's a lot in there. The main menu music really reminded me of the Resting Grounds from Hollow Knight. Seems quite fitting for a bug game. The dung rolling and shooting mechanic is interesting enough to keep me going, although eventually I snowballed (dungballed?) and was just rolling through every level. I was able to beat the game with 12616 money, 3250 hp, 1075 shield, and 1379 atk. So maybe a few balance tweaks would be good.
All in all, great game, keep up the good work!
I enjoyed a lot this game. Very ambitious indeed. I'm also a fan of this type of game on mobile (Archero). The gameplay is bang on, and the difficulty well-dosed! Love how big my dung was too
I would just put a bit more visual clue as to which gauge bar is which on the character (there was 3 of them, 1 I didn't understand what it represented).
All and all, impressive job. lots of fun :)
So I really loved this game! I love how ambitious it was, and honestly it was my favorite entry in this jam so far. I love that you have skills, and shops! The theme interpretation is fun, clever, and hilarious! I picked to increase my dung size and it got HUGE - I literally loled.
Great stuff, lots of fun, and I look forward to seeing what else you make.
Gameplay: Moving to charge your shot is a pretty interesting mechanic and the shop is great. One thing that could be better is I wish it possible to choose who you're shooting at. Another thing is that it would be interesting if the player had the choice to shoot before fully loaded to have a less damaging but quicker shot.
Graphics: Everything looks nice, but sometimes things are too dark and sometimes the worm things coming out of the wall is unexpected.
Audio: The music sounds nice and there is some cool ambient noises, I do wish there were some more ambient noises during the battle.
Theme interpretation: Great interpretation! I like the idea of moving to charge your shot and the enemies being bugs is nice.
Innovation: Nice mechanic I haven't seen before!
Overall: Great gameplay! Some polishing could be nice but overall really good for one month.
Thank you so much for such thorough feedback!
I plan on adding a manual shooting system / visible target system post game jam as I agree it can be hard to see what you are shooting at when you have no powers at the beginning.
Also will take the darkness into account to improve visibility.
Thanks again for sharing your feedback!
This is a really fun game. I like the idea of moving to collect dung by moving around. Nice job 👍
