Hallo,

Thank you for sharing your game.  I’ve already saved its RATING;

1. verified: GAME due to observed in SUBMISSIONS LIST with keyphrase: Linux; notes: GAME to be also PLAYABLE as a downloadable on Windows and macOS Operating Systems; learns: web version to exist, after verifying application on Linux machine, where: received notification to upgrade Operating System (currently @LUBUNTU 20.04) to cause GLIBC to be > 2.31

2. observed: noticeable 3D graphics drawing techniques as that with DOOM#1 (PC, PS3) and Wolfenstein 3D (PC); notes: noticeable low Frames-Per-Second (FPS) with the viewed port shaking; verified: to be NOT due to health count; adds: at select TIMES, viewed port does NOT shake; appears: to occur when viewing a WALL;

3. observed: background music to appear to PLAY with noticeable skipping; notes: sound effects via PISTOL weapon to exist;

4. opted: to stop after observed viewed port shaking continued;

Thank you. Health!

I'm excited about this game. Really. Nothing to find fault with. (Yes, I was pushed out of the level once, but these are such trifles). And considering that I understand something about computer graphics, I am doubly delighted. Good job!

I got really confused after the teleport from the break room. I really didn't know what to do and got quite lost. xD Still, it was a fun experience!

I’m on windows 10.
All I got is a black screen with music.
Can you help ?
The music is great though.

Hmm, are you using the web or *.exe version? The web version might need a minute to load, but the *.exe version should work just-like-that;

Submitted

I’ve the *.exe version

Developer

Well, that's unfortunate 😢 Could you try the web version? (should work on every browser, but in our tests Chrome gave the best results)

Submitted (1 edit)

Yeah I’ll try that. But where can I find the web version ?

Developer

It's here: https://doome.pwy.io/ :-) Note that due to some technical difficulties, opening this website might block your browser for a minute (the browser compiles our game's shaders then and, unfortunately, that seems to get Chrome & Firefox stuck for about a minute).

The game was super fun to play! I love the retro look of the game, and I love the music you used.

Holy shit, this is amazing! Well done!

Very faithful to the original!

Art style and aesthetic nails the doom feel, dialogue definitely gives you full marks for Theme interpretation ;)

Good Job!

I like that aesthetic, nailed it. Controls feel great and responsive. And all of that with a mix of humor. Would love to see a longer version of this game!

I loved it. What more is there to say?

Submitted(+2)

This is delightful! I love when modern tech such as realtime raytracing is applied in a retro context like this in a way that complements the aesthetic instead of undercutting it.

It's doom I cant' complain.

Submitted(+2)

There is a doom there is a way! An FPS retro game? count me in

Very good entry, I'm loving it so far!

The Doom/Wolfenstein aesthetic is quite polished, it brings you back to the 90's (and I was born in the 00's!). Everything from the atmosphere to the graphics is truly beautiful 😁.

I also like that you used many clichés as jokes or ways to interact with the game, I found it very amusing and original!

And the dialogs are very fun to read too! They kinda gave me Undertale vibes, and that's always a plus 😉.

As a negative point, I would change the pistol sound, it feels weird to hear.

Other than that, very good game! 💯

That's a silly start. Fun little game.  A little tricky to control on Windows - the mouse was having other things get popped up.
