Love the concept. Well implemented. One idea that I reckon would make this game awesome was if there was some way you could control where the hourglasses dropped. BUT under IMMENSE time pressure, so that you can shoot yourself in the foot. Otherwise really liked the game. Awesome sand animation you've got there!

Nice simple hypercasual game. Confusing at first but got it on 2nd try. So I survived long, but it gets to the point where other hourglass is difficult to click due to overlap with other hourglass. BTW, what does extension of life does? I replayed but the timer is still 19 seconds.

Ah yeah, I’m not surprised there are some bugs when you play it multiple times. We didn’t end up with a lot of time for playtesting 😅

Simple game, but on point! The only tip I have to give is to fix the spawn points, because it was frustrating trying to click on a hourglass behind an another hourglass.

Good job, you nailed it!

Super nice concept.

I like the idea.. a lot.  Very on point for the theme.

It's cool to see some ppl who created a game from scratch (without an engine). it's such a cool challenge to do IMO.
One improvement I can suggest is to try to separate the time spawn places from each other.

One last thing. Do hit me if you guys wanna co-operate on future games. I would be happy to do so.

True. It is simple and fun. But after the 2nd plays it feels monotone to me.

Also the music kinda bores me when Im just watching sand fall.

The menu effect is pretty good. Also the 2nd time I try the hourglass stopped spawning.

Maybe it is some kind of bug ??

Nice Quality of Life is to avoid the hourglass from overlapping each other. It is hard to see.

Very nice, and a great interpretation of the theme! The sand falling on the menu was particularly satisfying to watch.

It's very simple but fun. Easy to understand what you have to do. I did not know that falling sand can be so satisfying!

Interesting interpretation of the theme. Very original, with surprising amount of strategy for such a simple gameplay. Great animation with sand falling over the menu buttons, and very fitting soundtrack. The only annoyance is when two hourglasses spawn on top of each other.

Nice Game!  Got difficult to manage using macbook trackpad but cool concept.

That falling sand is satisfying. Nice art. The music fits so well. The jam theme is well implemented in my opinion. Well done!

Very nice and original declination of the theme! The animation on the title screen is mesmerizing. Great job!

Great job! Does the original time of the hourglass get cut down by the amount of seconds left over when you flip it? It kinda seemed like that was happening, which is a good idea because it forces you to wait til the last moment to flip so that you don’t spiral too much. I agree with some of the others that the hourglasses need to be spread out a bit more, but that did add to some of the challenge, like trying to flip ones that were reeeally close together haha!

Yeah that’s how the hourglasses work, well spotted.

Spacing out the hourglasses was the next thing on the todo list, but classic game jam, ran out of time!

Very creative! I love the art, music, and game mechanics! My only feedback is to spread out the hour glasses a little bit, and change the color of the timers (the timers are the same color as Death's robe). Other than, great job!

Developer(+2)

Thanks! We noticed those issues too, but ran out of time to fix it. Let's call it an extra layer of difficulty :)

Imagine spending the rest of your time flipping hourglasses...

I like the idea and overall a very good game. I do like the falling sand menu as it reminds me of Noita and the Sugar,Sugar game. There were a few bugs like the hourglasses overlaping completly. It also would have been cooler if all the hourglasses' timers were synced with the music like the first one.

Nice idea, like the audio and menu screen! Though you filled my screen with sand...😁
