Great puzzler. Tutorial set it up nicely, and I liked the wry HR department corporate-speak humour.
Level design and difficulty was set just right. Great job!
Thanks! Glad you liked the tutorial and got the vibe I was going for from the welcome letter (and tutorial text).
Glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback! I apreciate it!
I think the choice to make the main characters "zombie blocks" was very smart. That way you can design a lot of interesting puzzles and this game was full of them. Great job!
Thanks a lot :). Such a fun character :), and yeah, added for stable blocks to build from.
Thanks for playing and the feedback! Much apreciated :D!
Very nice game! Sadly I saw quite a few games with that mechanic... So I couldn't give you bonus points there...
But overall a very nice game!
with 950 games, bound to be some cross over :). I hope mine had a bit of a different look and feel at least :D.
Thanks for playing, and for the feedback. If I want to make this game stand out, I need to do something a little different with it moving forwards.
Much appreciated.
Thanks!
wow that rating process was easy 5s all the way down. elevator music and tone of art etc. was perfect for the game theme and matched the jam theme as well. I'm very impressed you had such good flash style art, SMB esque hazards, nice touches like zombie sound effects and particle effects on death and acid, good level progression and built-in tutorial style gameplay, appropriately tight platformer controls (that would maybe be my main thing to tune out of this whole thing but what you had worked just fine) and a mechanic that provided a lot of fun, experimental emergent things to do to get through levels. Awesome game, well done!
Yey :)! Thanks for that feedback! really appreciate it!
So glad you enjoyed! Thanks!! :D
This is really good, and very well packaged. I think the difficulty ramped really nicely, and everything just worked really well. Great job!
Thanks! that's great to here! I put a lot of effort into balancing the levels just right to keep adding something new each time, but not get to hard to fast.
Great to here that came out well. Thanks! :)
I apreciate the feedback!
Very nice presentation of this concept, I like the cynical yet light-heartedness of the theme and thought it was well executed :) Since you asked for feedback, I'd like to suggest putting a cooldown on the kill key, and preventing the player from being able to use it once they've completed the level :)
Thanks forplaying! Hope you enjoyed it :).
Thanks for the feedback. Will need to balance a few things out in future updates, and will bear that in mind :).
Thanks!
Awesome job! Loved the idea, art and implementation.
Thanks :), Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved the game!! Really nice mechanics and implementation. Great game!

Fun game. Love the concept and the story. Well done!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enhoyed it! (Loved yours to!)
So much fun. Obviously not the most original idea as several other people have done a similar mechanic but this was the most fun of the ones I've tried so far. I loved that I could just kill myself at will and I didn't even necessarily have to do things the "right" way so long as I had a big enough pile of bodies.
As the game got longer it did get a little tedious with having to die and start from the beginning of the level but 10 levels was just about right. If you went any further I think you'd need to introduce a new mechanic of some sort.
I just clicked on this one on a whim because I recognised your name, possibly from the FB group or the challenge club (or RPG course testers).
I see that you made Gem Mountain last year - you've come so far. This blows that out of the water, and that did really well last year.
Visuals are great, the sound effects were top notch. I loved the confetti when you clear the level. Very satisfying.

Heh, I havnt come across to many similar oens yet myself, but had a few others mention that to. I'm glad mine was the most fun! :D
Yeah, as it developed, I quite liked the idea that the bodies could just pile up with each previouse try :). Tried not to require to many, or make it to long. And indeed, moving forward i'm going to need to shake things up a little to keep it interesting.
Thanks so much for your feedback, I apreciate it.
Lemmings go undead...:)
Great game!
It totally fits the theme, the aesthetics and the sound loop work well together, it has some quite advanced and well polished puzzle mechanics and the level design is also very good.
10 levels is also just the right size. (And there's no pressure to complete all of them if one didn't have the time right away)
Yeah! glad you got a bit of the Lemmings vibe :). I didnt end up quite there, but it was part of my initial thoughts on it.
Thanks for playing and for the feedback! It's much apreciated!
This is a really good game.
Trying to think of any constructive feedback i can for it.
Add a story for it and maybe a little intro story but this is clutching straws for feedback.
congrats on submitting it.
i thought back to a game dev event i have been at and remembered a game with the exact same name. so you might need to change the name if you proceed with the game and i do hope you do proceed with it. https://www.headupgames.com/game/dead-end-job
The story was at best shoved in the "welcome Letter" on the main menu, but beyond that, the concept of this buisness using Zompies as workforce (an infitie supply they have it seems) may need to come out more through the gameplay. Moving forwards, this may be somthig I need to seriouly think about, to add another level to the game. So thanks so much for that feedback, really important thing for me to remember.
Also thanks a lot for the nudge on naming. I'll probably have to get attached to another name :P. Never released a game before "commercialy", and i am thinking of sticking with this project, so may need to start looking into these sorts of things to.
Thanks a lot, I really apreciate it! and really glad you enjoyed playing.
Devs look out for other devs bud. ;)
I absolutely loved this! It's very commendabe the level of polish that the game has in such short timeframe. The animations were funny, music and SFX was really on point and the puzzles were fun.
As a matter of personal taste, I'd have the zombies move just tiny bit faster (and maybe compensating by lowering a tad bit how much they can float in the air) and also make the next one (after killing the current) appear faster to reduce downtime as much as possible.
Very cool game. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback, much apreciated! Moving forward will need to spend sometime balancing those things so it's just right.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!
I saw this on the live stream. What a fun little game you made :)
Thanks :), glad you enjoyed. How you played it a bit further then Tim and Rick, as they missed out on the Acid Lakes, and some kool levels :).
Wow! This game was incredibly well done!
Very well done :)
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it! :) Apreciate it!
Excellent - really good dieing noise and effects. Got to level 5
Hah, thanks :), I had a lot of fun doing the Zombie noises :)
Great game. I had fun playing it!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Jumping occasionally felt unresponsive, especially on slopes, but definitely still had fun. My PB is 21 deaths. You could do zombie voiceovers professionally.
21 Zomployees working together for the greater good! :D
Thanks for the feedback aboud the jump on Slopes, i'll look into it!
Glad you had fun! Thanks for playing! :D
