Very well polished out :)

This was incredible! I am terrible at it and couldn't beat the second phase, but enjoyed every moment of my failure!

Developer

Hi! Thank you for playing :D

If you feel like giving it another go and still get to experience the entire story; there are accessibility options in the main menu's option panel :)

I gave it another go. Loved the ending! I was hoping there was a scene if I waited for a moment, but alas. Great entry!

Really enjoyed every aspect of this. Your graphics are lovely. Loved the story, the gameplay. Great job.

Hmm… why does the UI seem to show the wrong values? Errmm, wait a minute… duh! I am supposed to control the “bad guy” here!

This is a great twist for the game mechanics and I loved the humor you put in.

Thank you for giving me a lot of fun to play your game.

Great graphics and art in general! Very good game feel and control, and the meta story is pretty fun. Great entry!

What more can be said? Amazing entry guys, well done!

Very well made game! I really liked it!

Just one note, sometimes when I attack the enemy it doesn't hit very well.

For the Rest is really handsome! Congrats!

What an amazing jam game. It's fun and incredibly well polished, considering the short time in which it has been made. Bravo!

Great game! Wish I was better at these type of games. haha

Absolutely amazing!!! Everything is fantastic about this game!  You guys are going to win :D

Awesome game! I think it's the most polished game I've seen on this jam. It's challenging for sure, but just the way I like it. The music and visuals are great too.

Incredibly fun, congratulations!

I re-bound the keys to have a better ergonomics and it's great. I don't know if I have played too little, but I want new powers too... xD

Unfortunately the game bugged after a while and I couldn't move anymore :(

nice game, very polished. although too hard

Developer

Hi!

Thank you for playing!

Have you tried any of the accessibility options? :)

Submitted(+1)

Played and rated. One of the best submissions for sure!

Pros

  • Great art visuals
  • Great sound effects and music
  • Interesting combat

Cons

  • The drain blood skill was not working on my side (keyboard)
  • I didn't feel stronger as we progress, it got repetitive

Overall an amazing submission that only lacks variance of player gameplay, very well done!

Would appreciate if you check out and rate our game as well: https://hadilepanda.itch.io/rise-of-necromancy

Hi!

Thank you for playing!

As for the cons, did you play on the webbuild? We had a minor fix before the deadline but apparently we forgot to rebuild the webbuild before submitting it, I hotfixed the build and placed the new one just a couple of minutes before you commented, so unfortunately you got to play on the build with the bug still :D

Besides that, the idea of the game is that you're the boss and you're playing from the boss' perspectives from any video game; the player comes to fight you and either wins and you die; their story progresses, or the player loses and gets to go back to the save file and tries again. The boss generally is not the character getting stronger, it's the player who will take some time to grind, buy stronger items, whatever is required when they get stuck on a boss. It's pretty much the same here, but from the other perspective :)

I've added your game to my queue!

Yes I played on the WebGL build. Will try the fixed version later then, it was a great game :)

ok best game i play here, the only thing is that the default keybind are terrible XD at least for keyboard. amazing job congrats

Great submission. I had some problems figuring out the controls. The whole project looks very polished and nice.

Great game! Really love the art style especially the attack of the mage was phenomenal! I did run into a bug tho I think. In the fight with 3 enemies I killed the sword guy and then I died. Upon restart I could no longer damage him and I just got the drain blood prompt on him but he kept on wailing on me. °^^ I also find it rather frustrating for how long the non sword people are invincible I would prefer if only one at a time could be invincible maybe if the sword guy protects one of them or something? Oh and if you change the camera shake you can never change back to normal °^^ It goes none light overloaded overloaded or something like that.
