This is an incredible game! You can definately tell that 4 people worked hard to get the game to this level of quality in 10 days. Not only that, but every aspect of the game melds together so well to create a complete experience. If this is the first time you guys have made a game together, I couldn't tell. The teamwork definately shows. I can understand that the difficulty might not be quite some people's cup of tea, but I believe it's a perfect balance of seeing new mechanics and being able to deal with the previous mechanics at the same time.

I had a lot of fun playing, I could definitely see this game becoming something people would pay $10 if the idea was expanded upon.

Great game! The animation is awesome and the story was fun. The game is very well built. Nothing buggy about it and the controls were very well balanced. I couldn't get to the end. I'm not a great player. Haha.

Wow, this is an excellent submission! The art looks great and I liked the breaking the 4th wall story. Also, absolutely loved that you had an accessibility option for player damage. I tried it at it's default state and couldn't beat the second to last fight. Then I just cranked it up and I was able to complete the rest of it and see the story. Incredible work to your whole team!

Everything about this game is great! The level of polish is unreal! It feels like something from the Super Nintendo era and would love to see the concept fleshed out into a full game.

This game is so polished I'm surprised all of this was done in 10 days! Beautiful artwork and animation. Very challenging (I have no idea how to dodge the fireball honestly). The ceiling of the overlord's palace is in great need of repair. Phenomenal.

We were also surprised by how far we've gotten with the game haha, in all fairness, but I guess I did take about 6 days off of my regular day job to work on this hehe. Literally all of our free time during these 9 (we took the 10th day off :D) went into this game and we're proud of what we've made!

As for the fireballs; just a tip! The dash makes you invulnerable and there's also an option to temporarily toggle you into a batform (check keybinds through the options menu if you haven't found the key yet, the default keybinds are mostly set up to what felt good to me personally, but they might not be too intuitive for everybody)

Cool idea, I would ease up the difficulty. Something simpler to teach the controls of what your character can do. I spent most of my time trying to figure out what the buttons did, and the reset always started with the knight guy charging me without getting a chance to do anything about it. Crazy amount of work on the sprites and programming though for the jam. Colliders could be tightened up too. Felt a bit unfair.

We've had many friends from our community playtest the game and came to the conclusion that this was the numbers tweaking we were aimign for; after all, it's a bossrush game and each fight is not meant to be beaten first try :)

If you'd like to give it another go, there's also an accessibility option within the options menu that'll make the game a whole lot easier depending on what setting you go for, besides that, the key rebinding menu might help you set up the controls in a way that are convenient to you personally! :D

Absolutely amazing game.

Fun gameplay, fun story, fantastic audio, great character design, amazing graphics.

If I had to nitpick anything, I wish the attack had some sort of second swing rather than just being a static swing, and the hitboxes sometimes felt a bit big. but seriously just trying to find things to nitpick with that. Just wow.

I really enjoyed the difficulty too, was a super satisfying game to finish.

The second swing was an out-of-scope thing we had in mind (we actually were considering a combo system haha) but with limited time, we stuck to the basics for this one... perhaps if we end up releasing more content! The hitboxes are wonky, that's my bad hehe, especially Rain's charge attack is a bit... oops.

Everything about the game is awesome, but for some reason after I lost the first time to the hero and red mage duo, i became unable to hit the red mage until after I killed the hero, and I checked my controls and drainblood was bound to the c key and it wasn't doing anything even when I pressed it when the words "drain blood" were over the enemy

I'll definitely look into that! Do you have any idea on what happened prior to this happening? Any specific attack you did? Was either one of them dead when you lost the fight? Any information would be great, but will look into the issue nonetheless

I cleared my save and played back to that fight, I died and became unable to hit the red mage again. I did notice however that blood drain restored my hp (its entirely possible I got hit the first time I was playing and draining so my health increased and decreased at the same time). I let myself die again and I became unable to hit the hero either. I do notice that when I attack their characters bounce a tiny bit, but they do not take any damage. I decided to go in one more time after clearing the save data and I know what causes you to be unable to hit them. If you kill either one of them and then die, the fight restarts and at that point, whichever one you had defeated becomes unable to be hit by you. You can also do the fight and kill the one you had not before, and let the untouchable one kill you, and at that point you will not be able to hit either one when the fight restarts again. Also when i was unable to hit the red mage, somtimes he would do his attack animation, and no fireballs would come out. Also I became completely unable to hit them today when I recreated this bug, even though I was able to yesterday, and I can't think of what possibly allowed that. Also I only played in the web browser, and not the download version. I don't know if there's any difference, but I figured I should give all the info possible.
