Just sound effects from Soniss and FreeSound.com and some music but I forgot where I got that...

Awesome entry! I really like the player being flung backwards when they die; an easy mode where the player can continue after being hit would be cool.
I really like the aesthetics - the character designs are cute and the overall vibe has a lot of charm.
The mechanics were also cool - the buttons that shoot the other player up if the other player ground pounds was really creative - love that.
I would say I wish there was a more forgiving checkpoint system, or the characters had a few hitpoints rather than dying in one hit - with 2 characters there's twice as much chance to instantly die ;) I found myself repeating the beginning of the level a lot which got frustrating, especially when I died from offscreen spikes a couple of times.
Overall great entry, especially for a 1 person team!
Thank you! The game definitely needs tuning. A checkpoint system is a good suggestion, I just didn't have enough time. I had a lot of ideas that I didn't have time to implement because I spent so much time with the input. Local multiplayer is tricky.
That makes sense - things always get left on the cutting room floor in jams :) would definitely be cool to see it developed further!
I'm already planning to keep developing this!
Very addictive gameplay. You have done an excellent job!
Amazing job! Another game that had one man army! You guys are fantastic. This is soo polished and I like how the music and SFX are lined up! Thank you
Great entry! Other games had a similar idea but none executed it this way, pretty unique. I'm going to try coop sometime later. The controller worked just fine for me!
If it works please tell me. My second controller is a Playstation controller and it didn't work. There is a bug with the co-op in the editor that I haven't ironed out yet. WebGL does not support controllers very well with the Input System package, as much as I love it. At least I will know that for the next jam.
Nice game! Really polished, with simple but interesting mechanics. I played it alone so probably it's not at its full potential. I can see that in two is way more fun!
Nice done!
Lmao where did you find the death scream? :'D
This game reminds me of Fireboy and Watergirl, used to play with my sister when we were younger. An interesting game for coop as well as dual character asynchronous singleplayer experience.
Bug I found: When you stomp on spikes you end up standing on them, not dying
I found the scream on FreeSound.com, lot's of good stuff on there but sometimes you have to edit a little. Thank you for the bug report!
Cute looking with a nifty co-op style of gameplay. I think this is a game that really needs the two player experience to appreciate properly. Also, sadly, my controller appears to work for everything except the quick downward movement needed to activate the jump pads, so I was stuck for a long time unsure what to do. It did work on keyboard so I was able to get to the end on my second try. :)
Cool game :)
I've made some changes that might make co-op work for people with two x-box style controllers. There are now keyboard bindings for people without controllers. (I really thought everybody would have one!) Two people could play with keyboard very easily.
Really fun! Great job!
i'd be really impressed to see someone speedrun this, because controlling both characters simultaneously is brain breaking. Ended up doing one at a time and got stuck at what to do with the green block with the arrow on it and the stack of blocks, then time ran out.
Really well done and great use of the theme!
I should've explained some of the mechanics, I apologize. The green block will bounce the character if the opposite player stomps on it's mate.
Love the art style!
Why it does need controller. But great idea from the looks of it.
I originally designed this for controller so you could throw the ball in any direction. I'm going to add keyboard input but you will only be able to throw in 8 directions.
I've added keyboard bindings but I feel they are awkward.
Its a shame I dont have controller. It looks so lovely.
I'm going to add some keyboard controls in the patch I'm working on.
I've added keyboard binding if you are still interested in seeing my game.
Really cool idea, it was really hard to get used to playing upside down, a small thing, the camera could maybe follow a bit better to show the next platform, sometimes you couldnt see ahead. Good job on this one!
It's definitely better as a co-op game. I don't know what I was thinking with the original design. But maybe there is a savant out there that might like it.
I'm still messing around with cinemamachine trying to get the bottom camera to work better. It seems like it has a built in vertical setting that I can't change. Maybe I need to flip the camera upside-down?
the design is awesom though, i just found it really hard to coordinate both at the same time, but a coop would be totally awesome here, my kids tried to play on one controller, and they had fun, that says alot!
I used the Input System for this project. Unity says it works for WebGL on their website but if you search the forums you can find developers admitting it doesn't work reliably. Sorry for the disappointment. I'm going to rewire the input with the old manager.
Unfortunately this doesn't work with my controller. Looks nice though.
I added keyboard controls if you are still interested in reviewing my game. I didn't know that Unity Input System has bad controller support.
Unfortunately I do not have a controller, but the UI looks very cool!
And I bet the gameplay is as cool as the UI.
Great looking game!
I've added keyboard bindings! If you are still interested in testing my game, I would be grateful.
Just as I expected!
Although controlling both of them is quite hard, the mechanics really impressed me, especially the one where one player had to jump on a button in order to push up the other player.
Also the menu is really cool and your "signature" at the start of the game made me rethink about creating one of my own as well.
Nice job!
Sorry i don’t have a controller… think about supporting standard input (mouse/keyboard) and controller only optional. would like to rate, game looks nice, but I simply can’t.
I couldn't figure out how to implement a keyboard and mouse scheme that would work for this game. I know k&m is standard for pc but gamepads are standard on every other platform. I really thought that anyone interested in games would have a controller but I guess I was wrong. I'll see what I can do.
yeah, depends on what games one plays - i don’t own a console either - i am a mmo-player and card-game player (roguelites like slay the spire). console is no market for me – but you are not entirely wrong - i would agree, that the majority of players owns a controller :)
I've added keyboard binding to my game. I think they are kind of weird but you can have a better idea if you would like to review it.
