Thank you all for playing our game and for the lovely comments, we've been floored by the response! We are doing our best to play all of your games, there have been so many cool ones this jam.
this is a cool one, good job
Very cool concept! Loved the upgrades XD
Oh my gosh, this is so easy and so cool! I was hooked for a long time. It's so cool!
Such as simple but very fun gameplay loop! Also love how simple and effective the artstyle is. The BGM is also a banger. And there is also a Leaderboard! Def the winner of this jam (if it was a competition)
Aww, thank you!! I composed the song in A minor and had the meteors make marimba tones in the A minor chord so that the sounds would fit in with the music. The art was mostly made in Blender, rendering out 3D models (made during the jam) in a toon-shaded style with outlines to produce 2D art. Sometimes some touch-up was done after in Gimp.
The leaderboard, my buddy toiled away at for two days straight, he was doggedly determined to get it up and running. Upgrades didn't even exist in the game until the final 18 hours, during which the power went out at one point. Suffice to say, the final build was filled with a lot of stress XD
Thanks so much for your kind words, and thanks for playing!
So that was those sounds are, what a great detail! I also honestly would not have thought that the 2D assets were from 3D renders. They def turned out well! The Leaderboard were def the cherry on top!
Simple but very good concept. Effective. I had a good moment playing your game!
A really fantastic idea. It's a lot of fun! And it gets really challenging over time. One of the best games of the jam so far, in my opinion. I was also very excited about the leaderboard. It's amazing how polished the game is, and all that in such a short time. Keep up the good work!
Aww, that's kind of you to say! We decided early on that we wanted to take some of the simplest gameplay we could think of and just iterate/polish over it again and again. A lot of late nights and a particularly stressful final 24 hours, haha!
Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for playing!
Amazing! Crikey - almost gave you 5/5 for every category!
Wow, thanks so much!! Really glad you enjoyed it!
elegant, clever and polished! I had lots of fun, even though I died early on. The 'pick one' upgrade per wave works really well and keeps things fresh for the player. Very satisfying watching the meteors bounce around.
well done!
One of the best games I played so far this game jam. Really cool art and idea. Love the leaderboard.
Very fun game! I like your interpretation of the theme. I'm always impressed by games that include leaderboards. Played multiple times to get my name on there.
Great job. Nice take on the theme as well.
Unfortunately my house cursor wasn't lining up with the dinosaur, which made controlling it hard. But I'm sure that's just an unfortunate bug.
Hmm, in our experience, that goes away once you click anywhere while the menu is closed and the game is playing (granted, it seems to return as an issue whenever a menu is pulled up, but again, clicking inside the playable window while the game has no menus up seems to fix it).
In any case, thanks for trying it out!
Gotta say , its bigger game than something made by 2 ppl , i could see dedication haha . not much complains other than the accesbility of colors . i am little color blind towards red , and that made it hard for me to play
Also forgot to ask which engine ?
We pretty much spent all 10 days working on this one to polish it up, all the way up to the final 5 minutes before the submission deadline, haha.
The engine used was Unreal Engine 4.23, because that's the most recent version of Unreal that lets you export HTML games.
Sorry to hear it was hard to play due to the colors, but thank you for playing regardless, and thanks for the comments!
Oh unreal used to hv web support interesting they removed it
Very nice game! I enjoyed the ricochet mechanic on the meteors
Super fun game! I was able to make it into the top five in the leaderboards, at least as of right now. I tried my best to make as many chain combos with the asteroids but in the end it was over for those dinosaurs. Also, really liked the upgrade system, it adds that replayability factor into the game. Great job!
Dino dino destruction. All I ever wanted or needed in a game. Magnificent!
Super duper! My game has followed history and the dinos are no more. Played this a few times, really enjoyed it.
Super fun game! Can't wait to see the leaderboards updated once people start getting competitive. I like how the custom color of the player is shown in the leaderboards too, gives that extra sense of personal achievement seeing your score, username, and color there.
Fantastic! Missile Command meets Asteroids but with the thematic twist of Dinosaurs. I also felt it was very well balanced. It got increasingly more difficult but at an appropriate pace
I had a lot of fun playing it, nice one
