Cool, nice job on it and the high score is another detail as well that could work for this submission. I liked how it looked and how the mechanics felt. The increasing difficulty of the enemies as you got farther into space and the different kind of projectiles they fired as well as the different ones you could fire including limited ammo made it a fun, unique experience.

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked it!

Nice classic! The theme was pretty cool and the selection of weapons was a nice touch. I was surprised you even managed to fit in a leader board, nice job!

Fun game. Makes we want to keep playing it, well done!

Developer

Thanks! That was my plan. You want more!

I'll admit, with how short level 1 was, level 2 seemed to have a lot more waves than I was expecting, to the point where I was wondering if the game was glitching until I finally hit level 3. But maybe it's just me.

In any case, awesome job!! The music is sick, the mechanics are satisfying, everything feels clean. Well done!

Developer

thanks! I kept level 1 short because tbh to me, with only a single laser, it felt weak. so I made just 3 little “welcome to the show”-waves and the real game starts with lvl 2, that’s right.

This is fantastic. Hard to imagine how all if this got done in the 10 day time frame!! Had a lot of fun with it.

Developer

thank you very much! to be honest, the game was done in two days, not 10. I had a business trip during the jam and came home only on friday, so I had sat+sun for the jam.

Nice and smooth gameplay. I like it :)

Developer

Thanks - I am also very satisfied with the smoothness and the explosions are plain satisfaction

I liked the music and the fact that you do not habe to shoot the enemies all the time. Nice sidechained Bass Sounds!

Developer

Thanks! Still struggling a bit with audio control (music channel vs sound channel) - i thought, music is too much (too loud) - so I am even more happy, that you liked it!

Solid game! The leaderboard is a fun addition. Just wish it didn't count duplicates, cause I feel bad pushing people off trying to get to that final boss kill XD

Developer

That is a nice idea – I will write something in my api to allow/disallow duplicates. For jams, it might be better to only have 1 score per name… but you could change your name per game anyways :-)

Looks and feels great. Nice submission

Developer

Thank you very much!

Pretty difficult but fun game!  My only minor issue with it is the audio gets a bit glitchy when too many sounds are happening at once, but the shooting is satisfying and I played a few times to get further, though I didn't get anywhere near the bottom leaderboard position so clearly I'm not very good.

Developer

Thanks for the review! Yes there was no time for audio optimization, normally I should limit the simultaneous audio outputs, but I focussed on the data engine to get something going, that can do more for the future

Developer

We have a world-first kill of the second boss! kikerikiki (spelled right? 😁) made it to first place in the high score list with over 1 million points! He killed the final boss! Congratulations - I could not beat it during development!
