Was very impressed with the attention made to the main screen and settings. Lots of nice animations. Fell down once there were enemies, with no feedback on their damage. Were they invincible? I don't know - got overwhelmed very quickly and that wasn't satisfying. Character controller is okay, but jumping felt a bit fast and chaotic. This could become a fun game with some attention to the combat and enemy placement.

Cool game! I feel that the movement it's a little uncontrollable, because you can fall very easily just in platforms.

Really cool game, and cood concept !

I love the effects on the UI :)

Neat stuff. The game is juicy and fun. I liked all the UI visual animations and sounds. The player's move and shoot animations are also very cool. The game felt very smooth and responsive.

I am very bad at dodging bullets, especially those that are fired by that jet-pack shotgun guy who deals lots of damage, so I wished there was some way to recover health or maybe have the enemies with lower health instead. I managed to beat the game though after a couple of tries:

Very good game and a cool little story! Well done.

Noice. I did all the level design in the final 6 hours of the jam so I had to make 2 levels and couple of dialogs in THE LAST SIX HOURS, so I used an ancient gamedev trick. I made a couple of levels but I made them very hard so that the game could have 10 mins of playtime, If the levels were easy anyone could win in about 2 minutes.

And did you notice that you can destroy the big guy's bullet if you manage to hit it thrice with the pistol or once with the shotgun?

Submitted(+1)
Oh you can do that? That would have made my run a lot easier. I was dashing to dodge his attacks and kept falling off the platform 😅. Well, I guess that I finished the game on hard mode then.

Unfortunately, i'm not very good at videogames, so i couldn't pass the first big guy (i already had some troubes with the smaller ones before finally being able to reach him) but i found the game SO DAMN JUICY all the time! The menu, the switching of the letters in the menu and settings, the movement animation is so good, loved the character design and dialogue, and the sound effects as well.

Use the shotgun for him and you will get past him. Complete the story you will like it a lot. Thanks mate.

Dashing through an enemy deals a ton of damage too.

Cool game. I liked that some of the platforms I couldn't get on still helped me make the jump to a lower further one. I not very good at platformers but what I could see looked good.

Really liked the concept and the combat felt engaging.

Good entry!

Fun and hard, good work!

I am curious, did you finish the game?

Submitted

It was fun at first, but the speed of the character and a lot of the platforms being off screen made the jumping feel like a constant leap of faith. Otherwise the presentation was stellar,  the flare was great, and it fit the theme perfectly. Great job.

Developer

Yeah I should have scaled the tileset down so that the platforms could be seen.

The game feel is next level and the animations are buttery smooth. Great play!

Developer

Really glad that you liked it.

Really cool entry, sorry I cant rate cause I didn't submit

Really love the animation especially the dash and the button hover

Pretty Hard actually, I see you didn't get time to add some coyote time and other platformer goodness

Developer

Bro, coyote time and jump buffering are present, It's just that the duration is too low. I am really glad you enjoyed it.
