Didn't even get past the menu before wanting to comment about how much I love this music! Goes perfectly with the feel of the game and has a nice development to it. The art and the game itself are also really cool, of course.

Love the artwork and the color palette in this!!   Very fun to play -found the grapple mechanic challenging but easy to learn.  Awesome work on this! :D

Fun game!

It was a bit hard to get used to, but the grapple effect is rly cool!

Super fun game to play! It was great all around, but the music and sfx were especially good!

super nice small game. The hookshot mechanic is a bit tricky at first but thank to the doublejumo and the responsive controlls i got it quickly.
Very nice visuals with fitting soundeffects and a nice  background music.
great work!

Pretty hard to jump and send the player to the direction you want with the hook. Anyway gj for submitting ^^

This game is very juicy  , The music feels inspiring , But i just had problems with the grapple / hookshot

a trail / option to set which direction to go would feel much better :D

Honestly this is just a small thing everything else feels so good

I really really like the simple pixel art, the character looks so cute and the effects (dust trail, hookshot, etc.) really fits well the theme and the game. The Celeste inspiration got me hooked for sure.

Control-wise: Not sure if it's just me, but I wish the hook was on the keyboard. Like, I'd feel more comfortable to control the movement (WASD) with my left hand, and jump/hook with my right hand (maybe I'm too used to a controller setup and/or Mario-style controls). It felt really weird to me to have to move AND jump with my left hand and using the hook with myright hand). Not sure if I explain my thought correctly! especially when the game starts to become fast pace, it was very hard to quickly move. Maybe it's just me though! I could probably adjust after a while, but my first experience was a bit frustrating trying to figure out the controls!

It's a minor thing though, in general, the game is pretty fun :)
Great submission, gg on your game!

Really like this, great art and a fun, uh, hook, haha. It did take a minute to get used to the hook, but it was surprisingly smooth once I did! Great game!

It was a great game I loved to play it. But at start it feels that the game is too hard and it may make some players annoyed but overall the game was great i loved the art style which was giving vibes of celeste and the implementation of the mechanics and the theme was great.

Wow, holy crap. This blew me away, for real. It is definitely very reminiscent of Celeste with a hint of Ice Climbers but this did truly exceed my expectations. Good job.

Awesome entry, man you guys do know have to make good games

Had a bit of a learning curve but then it was fun, then I realized I could jump higher by spamming space before the Hookshot and I started making speed running strats and yeah the wobble effect was juicy

Awesome short game, hope to see more of this, could be the next jump king

Took me a bit getting used to the mechanics but when I did, man was using that hookshot fun :) I also liked the overall color palette and mood, the effects when getting off the hooks rounded the experience up. Nice! 馃榿

Hmmmm I wonder what games this developer likes... oh well too hard to tell it could be something about an anxious trans girl collecting strawberries for all I know.

But in all seriousness, you did a great job at adapting Celeste's movement and adding your own twist to it. The hookshot is great and I love the AOE indicator that you give to show where I can hookshot too. I don't think that a bullet-time that long was the best idea, especially considering that you're going for more fast-paced gameplay, so maybe that's something that can be refined, but overall great job!

Hey!

I really liked your game! The hook mechanic was used nicely and felt really fun.

It would be nice to be able to control the hook a bit (or maybe to add some animation when preparing to launch after hooking), because the game feels a bit frozen when landing a hook. But that's nitpicking!

Nice art style and music also. Well done! :)
