I think the mechanics of combat and spawning new fighters from those you kill work well together. There wasn't much feedback in the way of knowing how exactly the battles were working or not, and while that isn't part of the judging, I think it would have helped clarify what the core and secondary mechanics are and how they work. I could see this game has a lot of potential so I would like to see more. Plus, skeletons are awesome.
The combat was extremely finicky with units randomly dying without any indication and no clue where the enemies or skelies are going. You can just walk through all areas without any resistance which equates to the same few enemies per camp just standing around.
Not able to run the game ( so I can't rate it), but from the screenshot seems cool.
Its a good start. I think you need to focus on the AI polishing. Make them feel nice, maybe be able to control them with the mouse or something?
Otherwise good job! :D
Visuals looks awesome. I was a bit lost gameplay wise, my units were not really attacking so i just ran but never reached the end of level. It feels like this could become a really cool adventure, remind me of some Warcraft 3 scenario. Would love to see more.
Game assets and environment looked good, but it was unclear how to attack. I think the units started attacking on their own, but it was hard to tell as only one unit would attack at a time even though they were all surrounding the enemy.
The two separate controllers seems like it could be fun for two people, but it was hard to get a handle on the controls as a single player.
With more of what you were planning I could see this being fun, but I would seriously consider if both the necromancer and the deathknight should always be in there. Perhaps have just necro for 1 player and is you select 2 player from the main menu it enables the deathknight. Just a thought.
