Loved this entry. The reskin works really well in the context of the gameplay and was an extra motivation in wanted to beat the game. Really well done.
As infuriating as the original but with a few great minor changes and great looking graphics. Cute and well done.
im really glad you gave a reason for having to start back at the bottom! (delivering the berries)
the bird was nicely animated, and I really liked the tiny hop the bird performed to hop over a gap
i did, however, find trouble in jumping up to the platforms, and waiting for the gaps to appear was very agitating
good job :)
Really nice artstyle and music, would have liked screenwrap but overall this is a great take on leaper!
The bird sprite and animation were really nice. I like that there is a reason to return to the bottom after collecting fruit. It's really nice you can jump over holes to avoid falling too.
I only saw two bugs. Once when I tried to screen wrap to avoid an acorn, the bird went off screen before getting hit. After that the bird would not respawn and I had to reload the page. Then after winning, the menu button did not seem to do anything.
Interesting take on the theme with the birds and fruit!
the jumping was a bit clunky but great work on the animations!
The bad - no screen wrap, bird can disappear behind tree, I think the berries should be a little bigger to hide the white behind them, can't see a score, and would have liked to hear a chirp sound when bird get close with berry, when hit an acorn I didn't respawn, when click the fullscreen it is not fullscreen, and I feel that there is not enough holes on screen at once near the start causing a lot of waiting rather than moving (this does start to get more as progress though which is good)
The good - I might have mentioned a lot in the bad but the good far outweighs the bad, I promise. This is a really nice game and there is a lot that I like about it. For instance, I like how there are letters behind the berries, that's really clever, also really like how you can jump over the gaps sideways and jump up to next platform with ease, controls feel natural, overlapping holes are well done, music is good, the artwork is great, like the fact you got acorns to dodge and a way to recover your health, and I especially love controlling the bird as a main character and like how you have to have the goal of feeding the chicks who look totally awesome in their little nest. Overall, it's a really well thought out game that feels good to play and with a few tweeks it'll be close to perfect
This was a nice game! I really like how you made the gameplay fit into your environment, like making the up/down trips about feeding her babies, making the fruit cover the letters and making the branches into platforms. I am also glad you added health pickups :)
The game sticks pretty close to the original, and the art is pretty good. However, it can get really tiresome waiting around for the next gap to spawn. Also, since you move slower than the gaps, sometimes they can be unavoidable due to the lack of screen wrapping. So I feel like this entry could have been really good if it weren't for some small problems. It's still a fine game though.
I really like the visuals and I can see that you really sticked to the original gameplay and just added your own little additions.
I'm starting to think that I went too far from the original game in my entry...
Only issue I had was that I didn't seem to respawn after dying.
I really like it!
Thanks, I'm a little worried I stayed too close to the original haha but I'm glad you liked it!
