This was so fun to play, I got really unlucky on my first playthrough as at the first station there were no customers with numbers over their head on the left side of the platform, so I kept trying to kidnap random people xD
After that though I managed to complete the game on my second playthrough with no one left behind ♥ it was tough but very rewarding! Loved what you've done with the theme, and it feels really nice to play ^^
Thanks! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
Haha, this made me laugh out loud, now I want a real life job where I can just yeet people onto the train (yeah won't move to specific countries where they actually do that). Good job for a solo dev project, enjoyable gameloop! Well Done!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Love the use of the theme and heavily relatable for me always having to mess with train delays IRL :'). Similarly to another post, I also didn't know that we could carry the passengers at first but quickly caught on. The game can get quite intense and then calms down due to the randomization of passengers which is quite nice! I also love how everything gets tallied at the end so you know where you can improve. Great submission!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Some sort of tutorial in-game will definitely be something I'll put more priority on next time round!
That was really fun.
At first i didn't read the controlls and just tried pushing
those clownsour beloved passengers into the train. I laughed when i realized i can just pick them up and stuff them in by force. Really had a blast tossing trash cans to add some modern deco into the compartments. I got this small bug where i sort of got stuck in the door desperately trying to help the last respectable customer get on the train. It went off with me still hanging off the side of the train, the passengers didn't seem too eager to help.Honestly it was amazing, the music, the silly and fast-paced gameplay and just the ridiculousness of it all.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Lets just say that little
bugfeature is intended to add to the ridiculousness of it haha :D!This is a really good game idea that I thoroughly enjoyed playing. This is a really polished well made game congrats
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed playing it!
This is great. Quick and simple game loop but just enough peril to keep you on your toes. I really loved it. Kudos
Thanks! A quick and simple game is exactly what I was going for this time round!
Amazing idea I loved this game and I felt it fit the theme really well. You did such a great job.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Brilliant! I’ve enjoyed playing it and had a sound laugh at the first attempts! The audio fits really well, and playing with a controller is really satisfying. I don’t know if it’s just my imagination, but I think the number of passengers and their position is completely random, so some levels can actually be impossible to clear without leaving someone behind. I had to try 3 or 4 times before actually getting lucky and getting an extremely easy run. Nonetheless, I had fun! Good job!
Thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Its not your imagination, the number of passengers and their position are in fact random! Tuning things like that to make the difficulty more consistent is something I would have liked to have spent more time on.
Very realistic simulation of National Rail customer service xD This was genuinely very funny, and honestly I think the choice of soundtrack was perfect haha! I was expecting more variety in the levels, maybe some obstacles or new mechanics but it stands on its own for sure. Loved it, well done!!
Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it! There is a mechanic where the station assets spawn randomly which was originally intended to be far more noticeable (and with more assets) but unfortunately, game jams being game jams, the biggest limitation was time
The game is really funny, but as others said, at the beginning I was throwing everyone on the train and I thought it was buggy when they spawn out. In the end I understood what to do, but I didn't understand where's the malus to leave passengers behind (or maybe this is what I really have to do because of the theme?). Maybe a little tutorial could help.
Thanks for your feedback! I would have loved to have included some sort of tutorial for this project but time and energy weren't on my side with this one aha...
This was a fun, quick-paced, and delightfully silly game! When I first played, I admittedly tried to throw as many passengers as I could grab onto the train carriages, before I saw the little numbers floating over some of their heads and going "oh whoops". It's frantic, and I was never able to go a full run of all the levels without having to at least a couple people behind, but I still had a fun time. I found myself wishing I had a split second longer sometimes, but then again, I know that it would defeat the feel and rush of the game. The kidnapping stat at the end was the cherry on top of the whole thing.
Excellent job!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
This game rules! Such a smart idea and it is really well executed. I love how well this plays. I had loads of fun and it is really well balanced. This is the perfect scope for a game jam. I think that the collection of passengers is a clever concept but making sure you have to be back on the train before it leaves really completes the frantic feel of the game. Don't get left behind!!!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
THIS IS A REALLY FUN GAME! I really need to type that in capslock hahaha. The concept of the game is so great and intense. I really like the status of kidnappings in the end hahahaha. Also, i didn't notice that I am also one of the passengers which is weird because I am already in the train but SPOILERS: it seems that I must go to the first car train to successfully enter it.
Some feedback probably is the time adjustment when all passengers are in the train. I can see that there's 30 seconds left (assuming the clock is 1 minute) then after placing all passengers, it dropped to like 5-10 seconds and I am in still in car 3 and I don't have enough time to go there which is sometimes annoying.
But overall, this is a really fun game. I love it! :D
Hi! I'm glad you enjoyed my game and thank you for the feedback 😄! You should be able to jump inside any carriage (including but not limited to the very first carriage) to be taken to the next station (if it's all working correctly of course 😅)
Ohhh now I see hahaha. It seems that I really missed a passenger. Just wondering if the level is randomly generated because I am at stop 4 and then there's only 2 passengers but in the first stop, I need to place 5 passengers.
Yes each station generates a random amount of passengers 😄
Oks. Awesome :D
