Great idea with Great execution ! I love this game , It is one of my favorite game on this Jam .

Developer

We are happy you liked

A well done puzzle, enjoyed it through :)

Developer

Glad you liked it in his current form haha

Submitted(+3)

Unfortunately the game was a bit laggy in my browser so getting the timing right was a bit frustrating. I wish that It would have only blocked one direction once you go in a different direction. Other than that you had some neat puzzles in the mix that required a bit of trial and error, but that's perfectily fine for a game jam. Great job overall!

Developer(+1)

Sad to hear you could not play it well, maybe try the standalone build it's way more performant. Still glad you liked it!

Cool puzzle game. Well done!

Developer

Happy you liked it!

Definitely a good Game Jam game, just add an option to move around the camera and it's perfect.

Developer

Oh, that's the first time we've been asking for camera stuff. Do you think it could improve puzzle readability? and are the controls related to the camera angle? If yes it's gonna be quite tricky to make levels haha :D

Thanks for giving out your opinion!

Submitted

For the levels where there are cubes blocking the way, sometimes the perspective didn't allow me to see exactly when to turn around so I was just guessing, so an option to move the camera there (just on 1 axis, really) would be great. ;)

Developer(+1)

This was intentional to trick the player with some perspective "issues". I didn't make the level personally but when I tried it I saw the path directly, so I would say it depends on how much you're used to figure out things in 3D or something. That said you're not the first one telling us that perspective trick bad hard to figure out, we will try to avoid those kind of levels in the future for sure (if there is any...future, whatsoever).

This game is great! At first I didn't think it could really yield cool gameplay but you definitely proved me wrong by introducing the enemies, teleports and recharging-things. I like how even though you have all the time in the world to plan out your moves, it still feels like there is a lot of action going on when you move close to enemies because you can't let go of that button until you get to where you need to. The only thing I would add is a way to be able to tell which portal teleports to which other one when there are several.

5/5 all around!

Developer

Thanks, happy you got through your first impression, it seems it paid off. Most of those levels were rushed on sunday but we are all glad you still liked them!

Submitted

The first impression was of only being able to press each key once, I thought I would be going around in rectangles all the time, but I was pleasantly surprised by all the cool elements you put into the game :)

Developer

Thank you for reviewing our game! About the teleporters, we already had something working better for future releases: https://gfycat.com/temptingsanehyena its showing you the link and the direction.

Submitted

Ooooh, yeah! That looks awesome! I would personally get rid of the text and let people learn through experimentation, specially since it is something new and shiny that makes you want to go see what it does and the new lines make it super clear where it takes you to.

I'm glad to see that you're still working on the game, I think this one has a lot of potential

The visuals and music are absolutely fantastic. Music was bumpin' in fact. Keeps you focused. There's a lot of planning involved but also just allowing you to jump in and try something, and that's the kind of thing I love in puzzle games. One thing I would like is being able to see which direction the bad guys are gonna move ahead of time, and if they do, I missed it. Despite only having essentially 4 buttons to beat each level, there's a ton of granularity within that. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

The WebGL build has a lot of issues, the standalone should show you arrows for the enemies. Another issue are the teleporters not saying to which they are linked, it's fixed in our project but can't update it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! There is an issue with the webgl version and some ennemies where you can't see the arrow indicating the movement, but we planned it.  A few minutes before sending the build the key action to confirm on menu were barely working (like you had to press multiple times to make it work). It's always a rush to finish a jam game...

Thank you for reviewing our game and give us feedback, it's highly appreciated :)

I really like the puzzle design, very original. I made it to the third or fouth one with the pickups that reset your moves and struggled with the red guy moving back and forth between 3 squares.

Nice, you basically finished the game since we did not handle correctly the ending (like there is none haha). I'm glad you enjoyed it that much!

Submitted(+3)

There was a similar game (Only On(c)e) on this jam where each button can only be press down once, while their twist is that multiple key can be press at once or release at different time to create different movement. yours have much more added gimmicks and way better art style. The 2 game combine might be wonderful.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

I'm sure that game had the same problems we did during the prototyping, not an easy game design choice haha

Discovered this from seanrugg's stream, awesome game with a great concept and execution, congrats!

Glad you liked it! <3

Damn great graphics and effects. The gameplay flowed smoothly from start to finish! One of the few games I finished from start to finish- outstanding job man!

Developer

Happy you enjoyed the game, we tried to make it as best as we could and we are proud to see people liking it while giving useful feedbacks!

Submitted(+3)

Great concept and graphics. I really like the introduction to the movement during the menu. It is great how you introduce challenges as you go along with the same control constraint. Nice Job

Developer

Thanks, glad you liked the pacing even though we think it was a bit rushed so it's clearly not great for now but still happy you could enjoy the game nonetheless.

Submitted(+3)

Fun and challenging game, I did enjoy sitting there and thinking of what paths to take to solve each level. Excellent job!

Developer

Thanks for playing, it makes us proud that people enjoyed playing it!

This is really impressive. I can really picture this doing well. My complaint is that holding the button down can occassionaly go wrong, you can easily go too far or not far enough, which can be more frustrating with the slow animation when restarting. I get that you can't be able to move the same direction twice. I think, it should be that, when you change direction, you can't move the previous direction but you can keep tapping in one direction until you change, if that makes sense.

But seriously, great job!

Developer

Thanks for your feedbacks!
We fixed the slow animations ;)

About the holding button we are still conflicted about if it gives more difficulty to the game or is just plain awful. The tapping would defeat a bit the theme but it would be a great help for the ramp up and reducing frustration haha

Developer

Someone told me the exact same thing, only one direction, but you can press the amount of time you want. It will redefine all our level designs, but that's fine!

Thank you for playing our game, we appreciate your feedback!

I love how the intro menu teaches you how to play. Very clever. The aesthetic and music do a great job of selling the ScFi feel of the game. Well done!

Thank you for your feedback!

I don't have much to say. One of the best games of GMTK game jam 2019! :D

Developer(+1)

Woooo, thank you! <3

Actually our game is not good because of us.
It's all of you guys playing our game and saying thing like that make it awesome.

YOU ARE BREATHTAKING !

Awesome little puzzle game! Reminds me of English Country Tune and Steven Sausage Roll. Really like how the menu's utilize the gameplay, like the level select (very much like Steven Sausage Roll). Animations feel great and sound effects are on point.  Only feedback I'd really have is to maybe put a cue into the game to show 'R' is to reset once your out of turns, or maybe just force a reset when your out of turns, since everything else is baked into the experience try and add that in to! Awesome job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah the game flow / tutorials need some love, there is also the teleport not being perfect either (or the treadmill). We already fixed them but cannot update the game since it's rating period.

Thanks for the feedbacks!

Submitted(+3)

I really like this

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play and give feedback ! :D

I want this on app and play store.... fun and engrossing game...

Submitted(+3)

Damn, this game! Amazing Soundtrack, etc. Was really fun to play and gave my shitty brain some exercise! As far as I know, an original idea as well (especially the holding bit!)

Thank you! <3
