I've seen a couple people making a game about constantly shooting & walking, but I think this game shines because of something else: the mechanic where you go faster and faster the more you get hit, that's genius. I found that the levels were really hard though, and the game throws really narrow hallways and dead ends at you really early on, which I couldn't pass, but I like the concept. I'm less of a fan of the aim to walk AND shoot mechanic. It's really hard to aim at a guy if it also means you'll be running into him because you're aiming at him, it just doesn't make a lot of sense. You could have maybe made the game about actually plowing into the bad guys at speed and killing them, and I think I would have enjoyed it a bit more. Anyway, good job on this little entry :)
Thank you! i actually like the idea of having ot ram into them, we are going to make the game more lenient and give u like 3 hits before u actually die and we are going to add slowdown pickups u can grab to control ur speed, I think I will implement ur recommendation and allow u to plow into them but if you do that there wont be any slowdown drops as a way to balance everything out :P thanks for the feedback

A cute, speedy romp that was a blast! I really liked the idea of navigating tight levels to get the precious carrots, all why trying not to get hit and speed up! A simple and effective game loop, this was a lot of fun to play. I hope y'all continue working on this post jam! Good job.
Cool idea, and I like the art a lot! I played for a while but I wasn't able to get past like half of the carrots, since the game just got too hard for me to play. One cool moment I had was planning which carrots I should pick up first to make the run easier. I wasn't entirely sure what the enemies were supposed to do, since there didn't seem to be any damage or health on the player. They ended up being more of a useful tool to help slow down!
I like the animations on the character. I like the escalation when you get hit, its fun and you really go out of control after a while. Awesome job on this :D
Omg the animations of the characters are incredible! I love all the little details and secondary motion you managed to squeeze into them :D Also really fun game! Amazing job! :D

I like how penalty for getting hit is speed up and end up crash in to the wall, it really fit the theme.
maybe a some more effect when get hit by a bullet would be good.
It is too lag to play so I cannot see what com after the level 3.

Your art is super good! I also really like the feel of your game. Speeding up when you get hit is a fantastic idea. I found myself speedrunning through the first two levels by purposefully taking a bunch of damage. Really cool mechanic! Unfortunately the game started lagging in the third level to the point where I couldn't play anymore. There were also some extremely tight corridors that would've been nice if they had a bit more leeway. Overall though I had a lot of fun with it, good job!
The character art here is top-notch! I mean, stuff like the carrot-guns, the robot's floppy "ears," the small bounce when running—every detail gives the character so much life. And having enemies speed you up instead of killing you is a neat twist! I really dig this.
I really enjoyed the concept (it's quite similar to my own game :p). The music is awesome and the art is really well done considering the time limit! The instant death is stressful and definitely makes for some tense moments! Great game well done :)
I love the idea, but I'm not a fan of, and that may be just me, mouse driven movement. That coupled with the inability to actually aim and the enemies' projectiles being so hard to dodge meant that I couldn't clear even the 2nd lvl even though I tried a lot of times, but the best I got was around 9/14 carrots.
If it were KB to move and mouse to aim I'd probably do much better, though maybe it would have been too easy then.
Also the penalty for just touching the wall is so harsh. Maybe you could put the player on a timer and crashigh into a wall would slow them down so that they would have to balance getting hit & crashing to acutally just make it in time.
To be fair, I'm terrible with the mouse and much prefer KB/gamepad, so take my whining with a grain of salt :)
In the post jam version we are thinking of adding a limited amount of bounces, even slowing down time when u hit a wall to allow u to re orientate quickly and get back into the game I agree hitting a wall once and dying is way to harsh and I think for accessibility I'll add keyboard movement for people who prefer to play it that way :p Thanks alot for the feedback :)
Fun game, the art was a good choice. I didn't mind the instant death too much, but some more polish and some more levels would go a long way
Really fun game and a great concept! The music you chose worked well with the gameplay, and I really liked the art! However, the art was low quality in the game since a lot of the curves had jagged edges which made the sprite look slightly unprofessional, this shouldn't be too difficult to fix though and it will improve the polish of the game a lot! I also think that crashing into a wall should not be instant death, that's way too harsh and makes the game too difficult. I think bout 1/4 or 1/5 of the health bar for hitting a wall would be a good amount. However, overall I really enjoyed playing the game and I hope you keep working on it, great job!
A game that reward precision and fast decision making is really nice ! A fresh take on the theme ! A bit of polish, different enemies and optimization and it could be a great little game for mobile or pc ! great work !
The game is really fun but the instant death does make it very stressful!
Bugs can be fixed obviously, and I really enjoyed the character art, great job!
The game is fun and has a good concept and design, but it’s a little lagguy and hard to play. Maybe you can fix that by adding something like three lifes to the player and make him loss a life and restart the level while keeping his amount of carrots. Great job, the atmosphere and the ambiance is fun and great !
The music is epic, I can't imagine how it would be so cool with more visual juice on the game !
