Such an original idea! Awesome work!

Pretty clever idea, but also quite difficult. Especially level 6, were you really need finer movement control for the short platforms.

This game fits the theme Out of Control very well, and I love how original and creative it is. The levels are well-designed and I was happily surprised by the B levels.

I gave it 5/5 for all criteria. Had a lot of fun playing it. Well done!

Cool game! I think the shooting could have been sped up a bit, but I liked having to figure out the placement of the buttons to get the timing right.

Very nice! Would love to see a walkthrough to know what's after level 7-A 😅

Developer (3 edits)

Thank you for playing. There is only each 7 levels in A and B. You can press B 10 times to switch to the B mode, and in there character is controlled by keyboard:)

This is quite a well executed and original idea, I really enjoyed the game! I think that being able to move your character by making them press the button could be a bit of a cheat, and would somewhat eliminate the need for the bullets. It was still very fun though. Great job!

If you wouldn't mind, could you please check out the game that we've made?

Very smart and interesting idea! I enjoyed the game, it is very fun to play. Not sure if it is the expected behavior that the character can be controlled by colliding with buttons?

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yes, it is shown in level5-A(you can also notice this in 3-A by some case) as my expect, but maybe someone moved the button at the beginning in this level so they didn’t notice that.

This is clever, I like the twist for B levels - although it changes drastically the genre of the entire game! 7-B was wild, though in the end I figured it out that You have to jump from the left. Very fun game

this game is wicked!!!!! Such a cool idea. Forgetting about the bullets and playing by touching the buttons to the player was awesome fun too!

Level 7 broke me haha

Great job!

A cool take on the theme, well done.

Though some of the precision required got a little ridiculous, I really liked the concept. The two different modes were cool and I love the mid game shift with pretty much the same levels. I think the first half got less interesting once I realized the the player could activate their own buttons, so I could basically shove them with the red and green buttons to move.

Full Marks. 10/10 great original concept and design. Everything felt smooth and responsive. Graphics were clear and fun. Great job all around. Thanks for the experience.

Please check our little game out when you have a moment.

Thanks for playing and feedback~

Your game looks fun and I want to play it. But unfortunately I don’t have windows pc now.

If possible could you send me a mac version or webgl version?

Submitted

Sadly the Mac version is not possible now. We built it in our own custom engine and have not finished the Mac port part of the engine yet.

Finished the game! I already thought the mechanics were really clever once I started the game and the B-sides twist was fantastic!

I think some sections that require to fast fall or crouch would have been nice since it seemed like the down button wasn't used at all? Also once I realized the player could press buttons too I was able to "cheese" past a few of the levels haha. I think one small improvement for red-green color blindness and even for those who aren't would be to add labels on the buttons  that are arrows pointing in the direction they correspond to.

The mechanic and the B-sides actually reminded me a bit of this really cool AGDQ run  where two players play Super Mario World together and control switches between them every 1/2 second:

I completely forgot the color blindness. Thanks for reminding me this! Actually there is one in my company so I plan to add arrow for them as you said.(I added at the start but then removed because it is not so difficult to understand)

“Fast fall or crouch” is a simple but great idea for the yellow button, and it fits perfectly. Thank you for it~

The AGDQ run is cool and I never thought it could be played in this way, maybe I can get something idea :)

Very cool and unique game idea. Well done! I would say the visuals could have been more congruent but overall I enjoyed it :)

Inventive mechanics! Didn't have enough dexterity to get past 6-B, but very nice game so far!

Developer (3 edits)

Thanks for playing! I recently noticed that I didn’t show you can jump by press space bar instead of ↑ in B-mode. Did that confuse you?

Submitted(+1)

No, I've figured out how to jump. It's just the platforms are narrow and coordination in presence of noise inputs is hard. But I'm not very good at action platformers in general, so don't worry about it.

A really solid entry. Fit the theme perfectly. It was really fun. My strategy was to trap the character between buttons.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing.

That is one of the solution and I’m grad to see you fount it.

This was a really fun idea! I could see some really interesting ideas if it was pursued further!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Pleasure you could see them~ When I came up with this main mechanic, some ideas were out with it too. Maybe I will add them some time later

Thanks for playing and feedbacks!

Interesting concept, very creative! It's a little slow to get anything done which is a bit of a downer.
The art is pretty!

Submitted(+1)

Very clever idea :)

The buttons could use some arrows and a bit more room for mistakes would be good, but all in all, good game!

Developer(+1)

As you said there is something need to be adjusted.

Thank you for playing and feedback!

Very creative concept!
