I love this little game, though I have a bunch to say.
Firstly, some of the less good stuff. The fact that there's a lag between holding fire and firing is very unintuitive. If that's the point, and is a mechanic in the game, then that's cool. If not however, that's something that makes the game feel unresponsive.
Secondly thing is the constant jump. The jump should really only be triggered on keypress, or else if I'm holding space (because that means I'll jump higher of course (; ) I can end up jumping when I didn't want to.
Thirdly, if I press left and right together it goes right, instead of cancelling each other. Small thing, but something to look for when playtesting.
Fourthly, adding even some basic music or even just sound effects would make the game more impactful.
Lastly, I sort of forgot I can rearrange the keys until reading the comments here, so making some sort of in game reminder would be cool.
I know, it's only 48 hours, and for the time, this game is certainly great. All those nitpicks are certainly that, nitpicks. And that's because I absolutely love this game! The platforming is great. The jump feels very good, the speed and acceleration of the character feel great, the shooting is fun, despite the delay, and the fact that the bullets are kinda slow would make it interesting when adding moving enemies. I just wish we had a few more levels to play, but thanks for the level we got, and I hope to see you expand on this game some more in the future :)

It's the first time I had to use num pad in years! I never touch this appendix on my keyboard. :D Reshuffle idea is very nice, although it's sometimes hard to get used to them before you are hit again.

Fun little game,
a bit on the short side

I love the way how you present the controls to the player
and how you shuffle them, that really adds to the game
to use the numpad was somewhat different, I like it

I just missed some audio and animations,
not having music and sound effects just takes away too much from a great game,
next time pick something from the asset store,
it helps a lot to have at least something

Finishing a good game in 48 hours is a great accomplishment though,
keep up the good work,

Managed to escape! The numpad controls was a cool take i liked that and the fact you could move them around.  The only thing i would say is if the fire was more responsive it would have made some parts better.

I really like the fact that you can take the time to rearrange your keys. A bit of music could have been neat!

I really like the idea! It can be a bit frustrating if you get caught in between two enemies. Maybe make the change in controls somewhat predictable so one could play around it :)

Very neat concept.  I like the idea that you can fix the motherboard after it gets scrambled.

Submitted

Nice concept, the fact that you can go back to the normal setting after being hit is nice as well.

This is a very nice concept, but it can get tricky to progress quickly, especially if you fall between the two robots - it's almost impossible to hit the correct button before they rearrange, and then it takes forever to rearrange the controls. Some more time in development would've definitely helped, but good job overall.

Neat and original idea, though I'd suggest the option to use arrow keys or WASD to slide the tiles around, instead of having to click twice for every move

Unfortunately couldn't move the robot even with the numpad, so couldn't play for myself;  the concept sounds very interesting and the other commenters seem to have enjoyed it :)

I won't lie, I wasn't expecting much from this. I was wrong.

Strictly speaking, it isn't much; it's an okay platformer with workable-if-rough physics and a slide puzzle on top. What it is, though, is clever.

I liked it. I was impressed much more by the idea and design than the follow-through and that's exactly what I look for in these jams. it was an especially good idea to make the consequence for getting shot scrambling your controls, and only that. It turned what could have been a frustration into a somewhat inevitable, but also tactically managable diversion.

Well done.

I appreciate it a lot! Making the game solo means there's only so much I can do, so I'm really glad that the design concept shines through in this prototype here.

Really love the concept in this one! Incredibly creative use of the theme!

Thank you very much for playing!

this is super fun! I like the fact you don't lose lives when hit, just the controls you've become familiar with. really cool idea :) I was a little confused when I started not realising it was the number pad. I was trying the arrow keys and WASD keys and then worked out it was the number pad.

Overall, nice work!!! :)

Glad you liked it! I'm realising now that I should have bound alternate keys, since the numpad is unintuitive and plus some people don't have them, but it's too late for the jam. Thanks so much for playing!
